Claims
- 1. A carbon black-graft polymer, produced by causing a polymer possessing one to two reactive groups on the average selected from the class consisting of aziridine group, oxazoline group, N-hydroxyalkylamide group, and thioepoxy group to react with carbon black, wherein said polymer possesses a number average molecular weight in the range of 2,000 to 100,000.
- 2. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group is a polymer selected from the group consisting of vinyl polymers, polyesters, and polyethers.
- 3. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein the proportion of said polymer possessing a reactive group falls in the range of 1 to 3,000 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said carbon black.
- 4. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein the proportion of said polymer possessing a reactive group falls in the range of 5 to 1,000 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said carbon black.
- 5. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group possesses within the molecular unit thereof at least one group selected from the class consisting of aziridine group, oxazoline group, and N-hydroxyalkylamide group.
- 6. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 5, wherein said polymer possesses one reactive group on the average.
- 7. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 6, wherein said reactive group is aziridine group or oxazoline group.
- 8. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group possesses a thioepoxy group.
- 9. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 8, wherein said polymer possesses one reactive group on the average.
- 10. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 8, wherein the pH value of said carbon black is not more than 8.
- 11. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 8, wherein the pH value of said carbon black is not more than 6.
- 12. A carbon black-graft polymer according to claim 1, wherein said polymer possesses within the molecular unit thereof one reactive group on the average.
- 13. A carbon black dispersion, having dispersed in a dispersion medium a carbon black-graft polymer set forth in claim 1.
- 14. A carbon black dispersion according to claim 13, wherein the amount of the carbon black in said carbon black-graft polymer is in the range of 1 to 80% by weight, based on the amount of said dispersion.
- 15. A carbon black dispersion according to claim 13, wherein said dispersion medium is at least one member selected from the group consisting of water and organic dispersions.
- 16. A method for the production of a carbon black-graft polymer, which comprises causing a polymer possessing one to two reactive groups on the average selected from the class consisting of aziridine group, oxazoline group, N-hydroxyalkylamide group, epoxy group, and thioepoxy group to react with carbon black at a temperature in the range of 20.degree. to 350.degree. C. wherein said polymer possess a number average molecular weight in the range of 2000 to 10000.
- 17. A method according to claim 16, wherein said carbon black and said polymer possessing reactive group are kneaded at a torque value in the range of 0.01 to 50 Kg.m per 50 cc of total amount.
- 18. A method according to claim 16, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group has a number average molecular weight in the range of 500 to 1,000,000.
- 19. A method according to claim 18, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group is a polymer selected from the group consisting of vinyl polymers, polyesters, and polyethers.
- 20. A method according to claim 16, wherein the proportion of said polymer possessing a reactive group falls in the range of 1 to 3,000 parts by weight relative, to 100 parts by weight of said carbon black.
- 21. A method according to claim 16, wherein the proportion of said polymer possessing a reactive group falls in the range of 5 to 1,000 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said carbon, black.
- 22. A method according to claim 18, wherein the reaction temperature is in the range of 50.degree. to 250.degree. C.
- 23. A method according to claim 18, wherein said copolymer possessing a reactive group possesses selected from the class consisting of aziridine group, oxazoline group, and N-hydroxyalkylamide group.
- 24. A method according to claim 23, wherein said reactive group is aziridine group or oxazoline gorup.
- 25. A method according to claim 18, wherein said polymer possessing a reactive group possesses an epoxy group or a thioepoxy group.
- 26. A method according to claim 25, wherein said reactive group is an epoxy group.
- 27. A method according to claim 25, wherein the pH value of said carbon black is not more than 8.
- 28. A method according to claim 25, wherein the pH value of said carbon black is not more than 6.
