Claims
- 1. A transaction card control system, comprising:
- a plurality of individuated, non-interconnected transaction cards, wherein each of said transaction cards has
- a) two opposing planar sides, at least one side having first indicia thereon, said first indicia allowing for matching of a transaction with an issuee of the transaction card, being unique to the transaction card upon which it resides, and distinguishing said transaction card from all other similar transaction cards of said plurality of transaction car;
- b) at least one removable and reusable label having two opposing planar sides, a first side having unique second indicia thereon which corresponds to said first indicia of said card, and a second side having a reusable adhesive layer suitable for affixing the label to either planar side of the transaction card, the adhesive allowing the label to be removed leaving substantially no residue on either side of said transaction card.
- 2. The transactional control system as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
- a receiving element for receiving the removable and reusable label upon removal of the label from the transaction card.
- 3. The transactional control system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the unique second indicia printed on the first side of the label comprises one of the following:
- an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, a symbol, or a combination of any of an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, and a symbol.
- 4. The transactional control system of claim 3, wherein the label, transaction card and receiving element are used as a registration vehicle, and wherein:
- the receiving element is a form; and
- the label is removed from the transaction card and affixed to the form for registration of the transaction card.
- 5. The transactional control system of claim 4 wherein:
- the second indicia on the first side of the label comprises unique registration indicia which comprises an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, a symbol or a combination of any of an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter and a symbol; and
- the first indicia on the transaction card comprises unique registration indicia which comprises an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, a symbol or a combination of any of an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter and a symbol.
- 6. The system of claims 1, 3 or 4, wherein the label comprises a plastic material.
- 7. The system of claims 1, 3 or 4, wherein the label comprises a paper material.
- 8. A method for registration of a transaction card that is one of a plurality of individuated, non-interconnected similar transaction cards, said transaction card including two opposing planar sides, at least one of said sides having first indicia thereon, said first indicia allowing for matching of a transaction with an issuee of the transaction card, being unique to the transaction card upon which it resides, and distinguishing said transaction card from all other, similar transaction cards of said plurality of transaction cards, said transaction card further including a removable and reusable label affixed to either of the planar sides, said label having two opposing planar sides, a first side of the label printed with unique second indicia thereon which corresponds to said first indicia of said card and a second side having a reusable adhesive layer, the method comprising:
- providing the transaction card, the label affixed thereto, and a first registration form that is one of a plurality of essentially identical forms;
- removing the label with said unique second indicia printed thereon from the transaction card; and
- affixing said label to the first registration form thereby imparting to the first form indicia that is unique to the first form and that distinguishes the first form from all others of the plurality of forms.
- 9. A method as claimed in claim 8, wherein the step of providing transaction cards further comprises the step of providing a plurality of sequentially numbered transaction cards, the method comprising issuing sequentially numbered transaction cards to individuals in numerical order, and registering said transaction cards on site.
- 10. A method as claimed in claim 8, further comprising issuing a transaction card to an individual, recording information relating to the individual on the registration form, and matching transactions carried out with the card to the information relating to the individual.
- 11. A method as claimed in claim 8, the method involving registration of a transaction card including a unique second indicia that comprises one of the following:
- an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, a symbol, or a combination of any of an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, and a symbol.
- 12. A method as claimed in claim 11, the method involving registration of a transaction card including a unique first indicia that comprises one of the following:
- on an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter, a symbol or a combination of any of an alphanumeric code, a bar code, a letter and a symbol.
- 13. A method as claimed in claims 8, 11, or 12, the method involving registration of a transaction card including a label that comprises a plastic material.
- 14. A method as claimed in claims 8, 11, or 12, the method involving registration of a transaction card including a label comprises a paper material.
