Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a container, and particularly to a carton having a rigid structure and damp-proof effect.

2. Description of Related Art

As the environmental-protection awareness arises, packaging of products becomes simplified, and especially, cartons may be chosen as containers of products.

With reference to FIGS. 9 to 12, a conventional carton 70 is manufactured by folding a paper material and has a box 71 and a lid 72 configured to cover the box 71. The paper material for manufacturing the conventional carton 70 has a protective layer on one of its two opposite surfaces, wherein the protective layer can be formed by coating protective oil or polypropylene material (PP). After folding the paper material to form the conventional carton 70, the protective layer is on an exterior surface of the carton 70 for damp-proofing.

However, with reference to FIGS. 9 to 12, in the conventional carton 70, periphery walls of the box 71 and the lid 72 are both formed by only a single layer of the paper material and may have insufficient structural strength. Moreover, with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11, the lid 72 has engaging openings 721 and engaging protrusions 722 formed on the paper material on a front side of the lid 72. When the paper material on the front side of the lid 72 is folded inward, each engaging protrusion 722 is mounted through a respective one of the engaging openings 721. Thereby, moisture may enter the conventional carton 70 from the engaging openings 721 and be absorbed by an interior surface of the carton 70 not covered by the protective layer, which further reduces the structural strength of the conventional carton 70.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a carton which has an enhanced structural strength and reduces a risk of being dampened.

The carton is made of a paper material having a protective layer on a surface thereof. The carton has a box and a lid. The box forms a containing space therein. The lid has a first top sheet, a first front sheet, a second front sheet, a second top sheet, two first side sheets, two second side sheets, two wing sheets, at least one first engaging component, and at least one second engaging component. The first top sheet is foldably connected between the box and the first front sheet such that the lid is swingable relative to the box. The second front sheet is foldably connected to the first front sheet such that the first front sheet is located between the first top sheet and the second front sheet. The second top sheet is foldably connected to the second front sheet such that the second front sheet is located between the first front sheet and the second top sheet. Each one of the two first side sheets is foldably connected to a respective one of two opposite sides of the first top sheet. Each one of the two second side sheets is foldably connected to a respective one of the two first side sheets such that each one of the two first side sheets is located between the first top sheet and said second side sheet connected thereto. Each one of the two wing sheets is foldably connected to a respective one of the two second side sheets such that each one of the two second side sheets is located between said first side sheet and said wing sheet connected thereto. The at least one first engaging component has two engaging openings, and each one of the two engaging openings is formed between a respective one of the two wing sheets and said second side sheet connected thereto. The at least one second engaging component has two engaging protrusions respectively protruding from two opposite sides of the second top sheet along two opposite directions and respectively inserted into the two engaging openings of said first engaging component.
