The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the performing the certification process further comprises:informing a user of performing the certification process while maintaining previously existing information, along with a recommendation for disc cleaning of the disc in response to defects of the disc exceeding a predetermined extent.
- 14. The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the controlling the sensor hole further comprises:informing a user that an information processing process may be accelerated by setting the sensor hole to the inspected state and not performing the verification process.
- 15. The method as claimed in claim 14, wherein the inspected state is a second state in which the sensor hole senses that the disc has never been withdrawn from the cartridge.
- 16. The method as claimed in claim 15, wherein the sensor hole is an A1 sensor hole of Standard DVD-RAM specifications, the first state is an open-state of the sensor hole, and the second state is a closed-state of the sensor hole.
- 17. The method as claimed in claim 15, wherein the sensor hole is an A1 sensor hole which is opened/closed to indicate whether or not the disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge case, the first state is indicated by a closed-state, and the second state is indicated by an open-state.
- 18. The method as claimed in claim 15, wherein the sensor hole is adjacently positioned to a recording-prevention sensor hole, further comprising a step of controlling the opening/closing of the sensor hole and the recording-prevention sensor hole by one sensor lever, wherein the first state is the closed-state, and the second state is the open-state.
- 19. The method as claimed in claim 18 further comprises preferentially preventing a recording of information on the disc, giving a priority to the open-state of the recording-prevention sensor hole over the open/closed state of the sensor hole.
- 20. An apparatus for driving a cartridge having first and second sensor holes to be opened/closed and formed in a cartridge case which receives a disc, comprising:a first sensor switch to be selectively inserted into the first sensor hole of the cartridge, and in response, being turned ‘on/off’ while indicating an opening/closing state of the first sensor hole; and a second sensor switch to be selectively inserted into the second sensor hole, which is an opening-state sensor hole, of the cartridge, and in response, being turned ‘on/off’ while indicating the opening/closing state of the second sensor hole, wherein when the first sensor hole is in closed state, the apparatus determines that the disc has never been withdrawn from the cartridge case and does not perform a verification process of information on the disc recording, and when the first sensor hole is in the open-state, the apparatus determines that the disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge case and generates a notice for performing a certification process, and when the first sensor hole is in the open-state and the second sensor hole is in the closed-state, the apparatus determines that the disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge case and there has been no defects check and cleaning processes performed, and the apparatus performs the recording of the information on the disc along with the verification process, and when the second sensor hole is in the open-state, the apparatus determines that the disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge case but with the defects check-and cleaning processing performed, and the apparatus performs the recording of the information on the disc without the verification process.
- 21. The apparatus as claimed in claim 20, further comprising a deck base, wherein the first and the second sensor switches are vertically disposed with respect to the deck base.
- 22. The apparatus as claimed in claim 20, further comprising a deck base, wherein the first and the second sensor switches are horizontally disposed with respect to the deck base.
- 23. A method of driving a cartridge having a first sensor hole to be opened/closed, wherein the first sensor indicates whether a disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge, the method comprising:determining whether the first sensor hole is in a first state of one of being opened or closed or a second state which is the other one of being opened or closed, to indicate whether the disc has been withdrawn from the cartridge; determining whether a certification process to eliminate defects on the disc is to be performed if the first sensor hole is in the first state; performing the certification process if the certification is to be performed; recording information on the disc and performing a verification process to confirm proper recording of the information on the disc if the certification process is not to be performed; and recording the information on the disc without performing the verification process if the first sensor hole is in the second state.
- 24. The method as claimed in claim 23, further comprising displaying a message to a user indicating that the user may shift a state of the first sensor hole from the first state to the second state so that processing of the information may be accelerated due to an absence of the verification process.
- 25. The method as claimed in claim 23, wherein the first sensor hole is an A1 sensor hole according to Standard DVD-RAM specifications.
- 26. A cartridge, receivable within a drive device, for receiving a disc, comprising:a cartridge case to receive the disc; a sensor hole having first and second states, indicative of whether a verification process to confirm proper recording of the information on the disc by the drive device is to be performed, wherein the first and second states are changed based upon whether the disc has been removed from the cartridge case; and a state changing device to reset the sensor hole to the first state indicating that the verification process is not to be performed in conjunction with the recording of the information on the disc, based upon a command from a user.
- 27. The cartridge as claimed in claim 26, wherein the first state is when the sensor hole is one of opened or closed and the second state is when the sensor hole is the other one of opened or closed, and the state changing device shifts a state of the sensor hole from the first state to the second state based upon the command from the user.
