- 8. The apparatus according to claim 6 wherein the lock is in operative connection with a trigger member, wherein the trigger member is adapted to engage a pin positioned within the automated banking machine, wherein movement of the trigger member by the pin causes the flexible cover to be held in the closed position through operation of the lock when the cover next moves to the closed position.
- 9. The apparatus according to claim 8 wherein the trigger member is adapted to enable the cover member to move from the closed position toward the open position prior to engagement of the trigger member and the pin.
- 10. The apparatus according to claim 8 wherein the trigger member is positioned in the body, and wherein the body includes a pin accepting opening, and wherein the pin engages the trigger member by extending through the pin accepting opening.
- 11. The apparatus according to claim 10 wherein the cover includes a latch projection, and wherein the latch projection is operative in a locked condition of the lock to hold the cover in the closed position.
- 12. The apparatus according to claim 11 wherein the cover includes an outward extending edge portion adjacent the cover recess, and wherein the edge portion is adapted to engage the engaging lever as the container is moved into an operative position in the machine, whereby the engaging lever moves the cover to the open position.
- 13. The apparatus according to claim 12 and further comprising at least one movable portion in supporting connection with the body and bounding at least one track Within the storage area, wherein moving the at least one movable portion enables separating the cover from at least one of the tracks, whereby a replacement cover may be installed.
- 14. The apparatus according to claim 4 and further comprising at least one movable portion in supporting connection with the body and bounding at least one track within the storage area, wherein moving the at least one movable portion enables separating the cover from at least one of the tracks whereby a replacement cover may be installed.
- 15. The apparatus according to claim 13 wherein the movable portion comprises a frangible portion.
- 16. The apparatus according to claim 15 wherein the movable portion comprises a frangible portion.
- 17. The apparatus according to claim 13 and further comprising a handle in supporting connection with a first exterior side of the body.
- 18. The apparatus according to claim 17 wherein the body comprises a second exterior side opposed of the first side, and wherein the pin accepting opening extends on the second exterior side of the body.
- 19. The apparatus according to claim 13 and further comprising:
an automated banking machine including a housing and a pair of disposed inward extending projections in supporting connection with the housing, wherein the deposit holding container is removably mounted within the housing through engagement of the lip portions with inward projecting portions.
- 20. The apparatus according to claim 19 wherein the housing comprises a chest portion, and wherein the deposit holding container is removably mounted in the chest portion.
- 21. The apparatus according to claim 20 wherein the housing further comprises a cabinet portion above the chest portion and separated therefrom by a dividing wall, and wherein the dividing wall has a deposit envelope opening therethrough, and wherein in an operative position of the deposit holding container the upper opening of the container is aligned with the deposit envelope opening.
- 22. The apparatus according to claim 21 and further comprising a transport extending in the machine between the deposit envelope opening and the deposit opening in the housing, wherein deposit envelopes are enabled to move from the deposit opening to the storage area.
- 23. The apparatus according to claim 22 and further comprising at least one slide, wherein the transport is moveably mounted in supporting connection with the housing through the at least one slide, and wherein the transport is moveable away from the deposit envelope opening in supporting connection with the at least one slide.
- 24. The apparatus according to claim 23 and further comprising an interlock mechanism operatively interconnecting the deposit holding container and the transport, wherein when the deposit holding container is in the operative position the transport is not moveable away from the deposit envelope opening.
- 25. The apparatus according to claim 24 wherein the interlock mechanism comprises a movable latch that is adapted to operatively engage the deposit holding container when the deposit holding container is in the operative position.
