Claims
- 1. A cash transaction machine for receiving and/or dispensing money and transacting it in accordance with the kind of transaction caused by a user's manipulation, comprising:
- a money handling unit which performs transactions with money received and/or to be dispensed in accordance with a user's manipulation;
- a money disinfection unit for treating money being handled by the money handling unit to attain a relatively large disinfection of the money so that relatively dirty money is disinfected to provide money in relatively good sanitary condition; and
- a control unit controlling said money handling unit and said money disinfection unit.
- 2. The cash transaction machine according to claim 1, further comprising a money sensor detecting the passage of money and generating a money detection signal which is sent to said control unit.
- 3. A cash transaction machine according to claim 2, further comprising an encoder encoding a displacement of money along a transport path for the money in said money handling unit, said encoder generating an encode signal which is sent to said control unit.
- 4. The cash transaction machine according to claim 1, wherein said control unit drives said money disinfection unit through a drive unit.
- 5. The cash transaction machine according to claim 4, wherein said control unit continuously drives said money disinfection unit.
- 6. The cash transaction machine according to claim 4, wherein said control unit drives said money disinfection unit in response to the start of transaction caused by the user's manipulation.
- 7. The cash transaction machine according to claim 1, wherein said money disinfection unit includes means for heating money to attain said relatively large disinfection of the money.
- 8. The cash transaction machine according to claim 1, wherein said control unit controls said money handling unit and said money disinfection unit to disinfect the money when the money is subjected to at least one predetermined transaction of the transactions which can be carried out by the machine.
- 9. In a method of processing money in a cash transaction machine wherein money is received and/or dispensed and transacted by the machine in accordance with the kind of transaction caused by a user's manipulation, the improvement comprising treating the money in the cash transaction machine to attain a relatively large disinfection of the money so that relatively dirty money received and/or to be dispensed is disinfected to provide money in relatively good sanitary condition.
