Claims
- 1. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
accepting initial wagers on a game; advancing the game to an advanced situation; accepting further wagers on the game with payouts adjusted according to the advanced situation; and offering an alert to a player if an opportunity arises for the player to make a wager during the game which guarantees the player will profit from the game.
- 2. A method as recited in claim 1, further comprising allowing the player to indicate conditions the player wishes to trigger the alert.
- 3. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
accepting wagers on a game; offering a player an optional to quickly progress the game to completion; and accounting for the wagers.
- 4. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
accepting initial wagers on a game defined by a game situation; allowing the player to tailor the game situation defined by a tailored situation; and adjusting payoffs for bets on the game based on the tailored situation.
- 5. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
accepting initial wagers on a game defined by a game situation; receiving from a player wager properties; and automatically tailoring the game situation to create a game with the wager properties.
- 6. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
providing a first amount of first elements; providing a second amount of second elements, the second amount less than the first amount; receiving a wager on a selected second element; matching first elements to second elements; and eliminating one or more second elements that remain unmatched to a first element.
- 7. A method as recited in claim 6, further comprising paying the wager if the selected second element remains.
- 8. A method as recited in claim 6, further eliminating one or more first elements and repeating the matching and eliminating one or more second elements.
- 9. A method as recited in claim 8, further comprising paying the wager if the selected second element remains.
- 10. A method as recited in claim 8, further comprising repeating the matching, eliminating, and eliminating, until there is only one second element remaining.
- 11. A method as recited in claim 7, wherein the first element comprises chairs and the second element comprises people.
- 12. A method as recited in claim 8, further comprising receiving a second wager on a second element after the game has already begun and at least one second element has already been eliminated.
- 13. A method of playing a simulated sports game, the method comprising:
simulating a sporting event based on a random number generator; receiving wagers on the sporting event before and during the sporting event.
- 14. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the random number generator determines different actions in the game.
- 15. A method as recited in claim 14, further comprising adjusting payouts for bets on the sporting event during the sporting event.
- 16. A method as recited in claim 15, further comprising offering proposition bets on the sporting event.
- 17. A method as recited in claim 16, wherein different outputs of the random number generator determines a number of points scored by a particular team.
- 18. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the sporting event comprises baseball.
- 19. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the sporting event comprises basketball.
- 20. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the sporting event comprises football.
- 21. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the sporting event comprises darts.
- 22. A method as recited in claim 13, wherein the sporting event comprises bowling.
- 23. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
displaying a first element; displaying a plurality of second elements; moving the second elements using a random number generator; and considering a wager to be won if a selected second element first reaches the first element.
- 24. A method as recited in claim 23, further comprising moving the first element according to a random number generator.
- 25. A method as recited in claim 23, further comprising accepting a wager that a selected second element will first reach the first element, after second elements have already moved at least once, with payouts adjusted accordingly.
- 26. A method as recited in claim 25, wherein the payouts are determined according to a simulation.
- 27. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
displaying a first element; displaying a plurality of second elements; moving the first element using a random number generator; and considering a wager to be won if the first element first reaches a selected second element.
- 28. A method as recited in claim 27, further comprising moving the plurality of second elements according to a random number generator.
- 29. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
rolling a die until all sides of the die have been rolled; and accepting wagers on how many rolls are needed before all sides of the die have been rolled.
- 30. A method as recited in claim 29, wherein the accepting wagers can be performed before or during the game with odds adjusted to reflect a game situation.
- 31. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
rolling a first die; rolling a second die; accepting wagers on whether the first die or the second die will first roll all sides.
- 32. A method as recited in claim 31, where the accepting can take place after the game begins with odds adjusted accordingly.
- 33. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
offering a player a slot machine game; offering a player a bonus game if the player receives a triggering condition on the slot machine; and allowing the player to play the bonus game without receiving the triggering condition by receiving money from the player.
- 34. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
displaying a player's piece and a competing piece; moving the player's piece and the competing piece forward based on a random number generator; paying the player an amount based on a leading distance of the player's piece to the competing piece.
- 35. A method of playing a wagering game, the method comprising:
offering a player a slot machine game; and offering the player a bonus game if the player receives a triggering condition on the slot machine, wherein the bonus game allows the player to place wagers on a progression.
- 36. A method of adjusting a bet, the method comprising:
computing a payoff based on an initial wager and initial game conditions; receiving adjusted game conditions; computing a revised payoff based on the initial wager, initial game conditions, and the adjusted game conditions.
- 37. A method as recited in claim 36, wherein the revised payoff preserves an original (probability*payoff).
