Claims
- 1. A reforming catalyst formed by a process comprising calcining at less than 550.degree. F. an unsulfided Zeolite L component having cationic sites ion exchanged with at least one member selected from the group consisting of potassium and barium; said catalyst further comprising a Group VIII noble metal component and a rhenium component; said rhenium component being incorporated onto the Zeolite L by impregnation with a rhenium-containing solution; where the ratio of the noble metal component to the rhenium component is from about 0.1:1 to about 10:1.
- 2. The catalyst of claim 1, wherein said Group VIII noble metal component comprises platinum or palladium.
- 3. The catalyst of claim 1, wherein said catalyst comprises from about 0.3 to about 2.5 weight percent of the Group VIII Noble Metal based on the weight of the L zeolite.
- 4. The catalyst of claim 1 wherein a binder is added to said catalyst.
- 5. A method of claim 1 wherein said rhenium-containing solution comprises perrhenic acid.
