Claims
- 1. A chemical catalytic method of concentrating a halogen in a body of water, said method comprising the steps of:
- (a) adding to said water body uncharged particles of catalyst selected from the class consisting of graphitized carbon, ruthenised titanium, platinised titanium and mixtures thereof;
- (b) bubbling said halogen through said body of water.
- 2. A method of producing a hydrohalic acid including the step of:
- (a) Reacting a halogen gas with water in the presence of an electrically uncharged catalyst selected from the class consisting of ruthenised titanium, platinised titanium and mixtures thereof.
