Claims
- 1. A method of manufacturing a cathode ray tube comprising the steps of:
forming a black matrix layer and at least one phosphor layer on an inner surface of a panel portion; applying a filming liquid containing an acrylic emulsion having methyl methacrylate as a major component on said at least one phosphor layer; drying the filming liquid to make an organic film resin on said at least one phosphor layer; vapor-depositing a metal on said organic film; and baking the panel portion to remove said organic film.
- 2. A method of manufacturing of cathode ray tube according to claim 1, wherein said acrylic emulsion contains said methyl methacrylic of 40 wt % to 80 wt %.
- 3. A method of manufacturing of cathode ray tube according to claim 1, wherein said acrylic emulsion contains said methyl methacrylic of 50 wt % to 80 wt %.
- 4. A method of manufacturing of cathode ray tube according to claim 2, wherein said acrylic emulsion contains at least one of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid.
- 5. A method of manufacturing of cathode ray tube according to claim 2, wherein said acrylic emulsion contains methacrylic acid of 1 wt % to 19 wt %.
- 6. A cathode ray tube comprising:
a panel portion having a black matrix layer, a number of phosphor layers and a metal film, a neck portion housing electron guns, and a funnel portion connecting the panel portion and the neck portion; said black matrix layer and said phosphor layers being formed on inner surface of the panel portion; said metal film which has cracks being formed to cover said black matrix layer and said phosphor layers on said inner surface of the panel portion, said metal film having a transmittivity in a range of 0.1% to 1.0%.
- 7. A cathode ray tube according to claim 6, wherein said metal film is made of aluminum.
