Claims
- 1. A radio base station apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method, said apparatus comprising:(a) means for multiplexing (i) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of mobile stations and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and one of said mobile stations and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; and (b) means for transmitting said multiplexed output.
- 2. A radio base station apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method according to claim 1, wherein said means for transmitting transmits said multiplexed output so as to provide said second channel with directivity.
- 3. A radio terminal apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method, said apparatus comprising a receiver for receiving a multiplexed signal transmitted from a radio base station according to claim 1 or 2.
- 4. A radio terminal apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method, said apparatus comprising:(a) means for receiving a multiplexed signal comprising (i) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of radio terminal apparatuses, which includes said radio terminal apparatus, and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and the radio terminal apparatus and including a second pilot signal, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; and (b) means for making coherent detection by using the second pilot signal in the second channel.
- 5. A radio transmission apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method, said apparatus comprising:a radio base station apparatus and a radio terminal apparatus, said radio base station apparatus comprising (i) means for multiplexing (a) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of mobile stations, which include said radio terminal apparatus, and including a first pilot signal and (b) a second channel provided between said base station and said radio terminal apparatus and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency, and (ii) means for transmitting said multiplexed output; and said radio terminal apparatus comprising (i) means for obtaining chip synchronization with said multiplexed output, and (ii) means for making coherent detection by using the second pilot signal in the second channel.
- 6. A radio transmission apparatus using a direct spread CDMA method according to claim 5, wherein said means for transmitting transmits said multiplexed output so as to provide said second channel with directivity.
- 7. A cellular radio transmission method using a direct spread CDMA method, said method comprising:(a) employing a base station to multiplex (i) a first channel provided between said base station and a plurality of mobile stations and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and one of said mobile stations and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; and (b) employing the base station to transmit said multiplexed output.
- 8. A cellular radio transmission method using a direct spread CDMA method, said method comprising:(a) employing a base station to multiplex (i) a first channel provided between said base station and a plurality of radio terminal apparatuses and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and one of said radio terminal apparatuses and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; (b) employing said base station to transmit said multiplexed output; (c) employing said one of said radio terminal apparatuses to obtain chip synchronization with said multiplexed output; and (d) employing said one of said radio terminal apparatuses to make coherent detection by using the second pilot signal in the second channel.
- 9. A cellular radio transmission method using a direct spread CDMA method according to claim 7 or 8, wherein step (b) comprises transmitting said multiplexed output so as to provide said second channel with directivity.
- 10. A radio base station apparatus comprising:(a) a multiplexer that multiplexes (i) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of mobile stations and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and one of said mobile stations and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; and (b) a transmitter that transmits said multiplexed output.
- 11. A radio base station apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said transmitter transmits said multiplexed output so as to provide said second channel with directivity.
- 12. A radio terminal apparatus comprising a receiver that receives a multiplexed signal transmitted from a radio base station according to claim 10 or 11.
- 13. A radio base station apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said radio base station apparatus uses a direct spread CDMA method.
- 14. A radio terminal apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said radio terminal apparatus uses a direct spread CDMA method.
- 15. A radio terminal apparatus comprising:(a) a receiver that receives a multiplexed signal comprising (i) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of radio terminal apparatuses, which includes said radio terminal apparatus, and including a first pilot signal and (ii) a second channel provided between said base station and the radio terminal apparatus and including a second pilot signal, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency; and (b) a detector that makes coherent detection by using the second pilot signal in the second channel.
- 16. A radio terminal apparatus according to claim 15, wherein said radio terminal apparatus uses a direct spread CDMA method.
- 17. A radio transmission apparatus comprising:a radio base station apparatus and a radio terminal apparatus, said radio base station apparatus comprising (i) a multiplexer that multiplexes (a) a first channel provided between a base station and a plurality of mobile stations, which includes said radio terminal apparatus, and including a first pilot signal and (b) a second channel provided between said base station and said radio terminal apparatus and including a second pilot signal, to provide a multiplexed output, said first and second pilot signals being at a same frequency, and (ii) a transmitter that transmits said multiplexed output; and said radio terminal apparatus comprising (i) a circuitry that obtains chip synchronization with said multiplexed output, and (ii) a circuitry that makes coherent detection by using the second pilot signal in the second channel.
- 18. A radio transmission apparatus according to claim 17, wherein said transmitter transmits said multiplexed output so as to provide said second channel with directivity.
- 19. A radio transmission apparatus according to claim 17, wherein said radio transmission apparatus uses a direct spread CDMA method.
