Claims
- 1. A cement composition comprising:
- at least one kind of hydraulic cement;
- and a polymer precursor that is substantially anhydrous and generates water by a curing reaction,
- wherein said cement has from 12 to 60 parts by weight of said polymer precursor relative to 100 parts by weight of said hydraulic cement, and wherein said cement composition is reactable in the absence of additional water.
- 2. A cement composition as set forth in claim 1, wherein said polymer precursor comprises from 12 to 30 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said hydraulic cement.
- 3. A cement composition as set forth in claim 1 wherein said polymer precursor is formaldehyde resin precursor.
- 4. A cement composition as set forth in claim 3, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is phenol resin precursor.
- 5. A cement composition as set forth in claim 3, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is melamine resin precursor.
- 6. A cement composition as set forth in claim 3, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is urea resin precursor.
- 7. A cement composition as set forth in claim 1, wherein said polymer precursor is polyimide precursor.
- 8. A cement composition as claimed in claim 1 further comprising an additive.
- 9. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8 that further comprises a filler.
- 10. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said polymer precursor comprises from 12 to 30 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of a combination of said hydraulic cement and said additive.
- 11. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said additive is polyamide.
- 12. A cement composition as set forth in claim 11, wherein said polyamide is fatty acid alcohol soluble polyamide.
- 13. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said additive is polyacrylamide.
- 14. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said additive is polyvinylalcohol.
- 15. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said additive comprises from 0.5 to 20 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said polymer precursor.
- 16. A cement composition as set forth in claim 8, wherein said additive comprises from 2 to 12 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said polymer precursor.
- 17. A cement composition as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a filler.
- 18. A product formed by curing the cement composition of claim 1 which has a flexural strength of greater than 40 N/mm.sup.2.
- 19. A product as claimed in claim 18 wherein said cement further comprises an additive.
- 20. A product as claimed in claim 18 wherein said cement further comprises a filler.
- 21. A molding material comprising:
- at least one kind of hydraulic cement;
- and a polymer precursor that is substantially anhydrous and generates water by a curing reaction,
- wherein said material has from 12 to 100 parts by weight of said polymer precursor relative to 100 parts by weight of said hydraulic cement, and wherein said cement composition is reactable in the absence of additional water.
- 22. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said polymer precursor comprises from 12 to 60 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said hydraulic cement.
- 23. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said hydraulic cement and said polymer precursor are mixed in the form of powder.
- 24. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said polymer precursor is mixed in a thermally molten form.
- 25. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said polymer precursor is mixed in a form of alcohol solution.
- 26. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said polymer precursor is formaldehyde resin precursor.
- 27. A molding material as set forth in claim 26, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is phenol resin precursor.
- 28. A molding material as set forth in claim 26, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is melamine resin precursor.
- 29. A molding material as set forth in claim 26, wherein said formaldehyde resin precursor is urea resin precursor.
- 30. A molding material as set forth in claim 21, wherein said polymer precursor is polyimide precursor.
- 31. A molding material as claimed in claim 21 further comprising an additive.
- 32. A molding material as set forth in claim 31 that further comprises a filler.
- 33. A molding material as set forth in claim 31, wherein said polymer precursor comprises from 12 to 60 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said hydraulic cement.
- 34. A molding material as set forth in claim 31, wherein said additive is polymer having acid-amide bonding included therein.
- 35. A molding material as set forth in claim 34, wherein said polymer is polyamide.
- 36. A molding material as set forth in claim 35, wherein said polyamide is fatty acid alcohol soluble polyamide.
- 37. A molding material as set forth in claim 35, wherein said polymer is polyacrylamide.
- 38. A molding material as set forth in claim 31, wherein said additive comprises from 0.5 to 30 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said polymer precursor.
- 39. A molding material as set forth in claim 31, wherein said additive comprises from 2 to 20 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said polymer precursor.
- 40. A molding material as claimed in claim 21 further comprising a filler.
- 41. A molded product obtained by molding, heating and curing the molding material of claim 21.
- 42. A molded product as set forth in claim 41, further comprising an additive of at least polymer having acid-amide bonding included therein.
- 43. A cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said hydraulic cement is alumina cement.
- 44. A molding material as claimed in claim 21 wherein said hydraulic cement is alumina cement.
- 45. A cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said polymer precursor generates water when heated to a temperature of between 100.degree. and 500.degree. C.
- 46. A cement composition comprising:
- (a) alumina cement;
- (b) phenol resin precursor in a methanol solvent, wherein said phenol resin precursor generates water by a curing reaction and is present in an amount by weight of 12 to 60 parts relative to 100 parts of said alumina cement; and
- (c) an alcohol soluble polyamide;
- wherein said cement composition is reactable in the absence of additional water.
- 47. A cement composition as claimed in claim 46 wherein said alcohol soluble polyamide is N-methoxymethyl-polyamide.
- 48. A cement composition as claimed in claim 46 further comprising glycerol.
- 49. A molded product obtained by molding, heating, and curing the molding material of claim 25.
- 50. A molded product as set forth in claim 49, wherein said polymer precursor is formaldehyde resin precursor.
- 51. A molded product as set forth in claim 49, further comprising an additive of at least polymer having acid-amide bonding included therein.
