Claims
- 1. A centerpiece assembly comprising:
- (a) a plurality of elements, each element comprising:
- (1) a hollow tubular member having an aperture and two ends
- (2) a decorative pom-pom-like appendage positioned at one of said ends of said hollow tubular member; and
- (b) a positioning system for arraying said elements in an arrangement, said positioning system comprising a plurality of openings adapted to receive said elements.
- 2. The centerpiece assembly as set forth in claim 1, wherein said hollow tubular member is provided with a closure at an end opposite said decorative pom-pom-like appendage to substantially obscure said aperture.
- 3. The centerpiece assembly as set forth in claim 2, wherein said closure is disengageable.
- 4. The centerpiece assembly as set forth in claim 1, wherein said hollow tubular member is provided at an end proximate said decorative pom-pom-like member with a closure.
- 5. The centerpiece assembly as set forth in claim 4, wherein said closure is disengageable.
- 6. The centerpiece assembly as set forth in claim 1, wherein said pom-pom-like appendage comprises a puff having a cluster of ribbon-like elements emerging therefrom.
- 7. The centerpiece as set forth in claim 1, wherein said positioning system comprises at least two tier plates having said plurality of openings therein, such that a hollow tubular member of a respective element is simultaneously positioned in an opening in one of said tier plates and a corresponding opening in another of said tier plates.
- 8. The centerpiece as set forth in claim 7, wherein said corresponding openings of said tier plates are aligned so that said elements form a divergent arrangement.
- 9. The centerpiece according to claim 1, wherein the hollow tubular member is adapted to surround comestibles.
- 10. A decorative element having floral characteristics comprising:
- (a) a hollow tubular member, having an aperture and two ends;
- (b) a decorative pom-pom-like element attached to one end of said hollow tubular member; and
- (c) a disengageable closure adapted to obscure said aperture.
- 11. A container, comprising:
- an elongated hollow member having two ends, an axis, a maximum width of said elongated hollow member and an aperture adapted to contain objects;
- a decorative element being axially attached to one of said ends of said elongated hollow member and having a maximum width of said decorative element greater that said maximum width of said elongated hollow member;
- a pom-pom-like portion included in said decorative element, said pom-pom-like portion having segments that radiate in substantially three dimensions to substantially fill a central region;
- an attachment system for said pom-pom-like portion for axially attaching said pom-pom-like portion to said elongated hollow member; and
- an openable cover adapted to obscure said aperture and to substantially contain the objects in said elongated hollow member.
- 12. The container according to claim 11, wherein said objects are edible foodstuffs.
- 13. The container according to claim 12, wherein said edible foodstuffs are colored candies.
- 14. The container according to claim 1, wherein said pom-pom-like portion has floral characteristics.
- 15. A display, comprising a plurality of containers, each container comprising an elongated hollow member having two ends, an axis, a maximum width of said elongated hollow member and an aperture, and being adapted to contain objects; a decorative element being axially attached to one of said ends of said elongated hollow member and having a maximum width of said decorative element greater than said maximum width of said elongated hollow member; a pom-pom-like portion included in said decorative element, said pom-pom-like portion having segments that radiate in substantially three dimensions to substantially fill a central region; an attachment system for said pom-pom-like portion for axially attaching said pom-pom-like portion to said elongated hollow member; an openable cover adapted to obscure said aperture and to substantially contain the objects in said elongated hollow member; and a rack for arranging said plurality of containers in an arrangement.
- 16. The display according to claim 15, wherein said pom-pom-like portion has floral characteristics.
- 17. The display according to claim 15, wherein the objects are edible foodstuffs.
- 18. The display according to claim 17, wherein the edible foodstuffs are colored candies.
- 19. A display, comprising a plurality of containers, each container comprising an elongated hollow member having two ends, an axis, a maximum width of said elongated hollow member and an aperture, and being adapted to contain objects; a decorative element being axially attached to one of said ends of said elongated hollow member and having a maximum width of said decorative element at a portion of said elongated hollow member proximate to said decorative element that is greater than said maximum width of said elongated hollow member; a pom-pom-like portion included in said decorative element, said pom-pom-like portion having segments that radiate in substantially three dimensions to substantially fill a central region; an attachment system for said pom-pom-like portion for axially attaching said pom-pom-like portion to said elongated hollow member; an openable cover adapted to obscure said aperture and to substantially contain said objects in said elongated hollow member; and a positioning system for arranging said plurality of containers in an arrangement.
- 20. The centerpiece as set forth in claim 1, wherein said positioning system comprises a plurality of recepticles on a support, such that a hollow tubular member of a respective element is positioned at said recepticle to provide at least one spacial orientation.
