Claims
- 1. A system, comprising:
- an on-the-fly real-time kinematic (OTF-RTK) global positioning system (GPS) reference station configured to provide RTK GPS data at a first rate; and
- a rover station configured to receive the RTK GPS data and to update its own position at a second rate faster than the first rate.
- 2. The system of claim 1 wherein the rover station is fitted to a vehicle.
- 3. The system of claim 2 wherein the GPS reference station is further configured to provide control signals to said vehicle.
- 4. The system of claim 3 wherein said control signals comprise guidance plan information for said vehicle.
- 5. The system of claim 3 wherein the GPS reference station includes a mathematical model to provide guidance plan information for said vehicle.
- 6. A method, comprising:
- providing on-the-fly real-time kinematic (OTF-RTK) global positioning system (GPS) data to a rover station at a first rate; and
- updating the position of said rover station at a second rate faster than the first rate.
- 7. The method of claim 6 further comprising providing control signals to said rover station.
- 8. The method of claim 6 further comprising providing vehicle guidance information to said rover station.
