Claims
- 1. Apparatus comprising:
- a building; and
- a system comprising:
- a water line comprising a water supply line substantially permanently installed and plumbed inside said building for supplying water at a pressure in a first pressure range;
- a pump substantially permanently installed and plumbed inside said building, said pump having a pump inlet operably attached to said water line and a pump outlet for delivering water at a pressure higher than said pressure in said first pressure range through a fluid conduit at a higher pressure than said pressure range in said first pressure said fluid conduit being substantially permanently installed and plumbed inside said building and operably attached at one end to said pump outlet and operably connected to at least one system outlet;
- means for selectively, operatively connecting or disconnecting a spray wand to said at least one system outlet;
- means for operably introducing a cleaning chemical into fluid passing through said fluid conduit; and
- wireless remote control means for selectively turning said pump on or off from a remote location.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said building is selected from the group of buildings consisting of homes and commercial buildings.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said building comprises a commercial building.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said at least one system outlet comprises a plurality of system outlets.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said at least one system outlet is outside said building.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein said at least one system outlet outside said building is operably connected by an underground service connection to said fluid conduit substantially permanently installed and plumbed inside said building.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein said at least one system outlet outside said building comprises an auxiliary outlet associated with at least another building.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein said auxiliary outlet is positioned in a location selected from a group of locations inside said another building and outside said another building.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 1, comprising a solenoid valve operably connected to said water supply line for controlling flow of said water being supplied at said pressure in said first pressure range.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said water supply line comprises a cold water line and a hot water line and connection means for selectively connecting or disconnecting said hot water line from said pump inlet.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein said solenoid valve comprises a warm water solenoid valve for controlling flow of hot water.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 1, comprising a pressure relief valve in said fluid conduit for releasing fluid when pressure within said fluid conduit exceeds a predetermined amount, said pressure relief valve having an inlet and an outlet.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 12, including means in said fluid conduit for turning off said pump when fluid temperature in said fluid conduit exceeds a predetermined level.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein said means in said fluid conduit for turning off said pump comprises a by-pass line having a high temperature pump shut-down switch for shutting said pump down if said water rises above a predetermined temperature.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 1, comprising a water inlet filter located in said water supply line for removing impurities from said water being supplied in said first pressure range.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 1, comprising a water break valve in said water supply line.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said water line comprises a flow orifice for restricting flow of water to said pump.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 17, comprising a rinse control valve located in parallel with said flow orifice.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 1, comprising a freeze-proof valve operably connected to said at least one system outlet.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein said freeze-proof valve comprises:
- a valve inlet port and a valve outlet port;
- a valve body;
- a valve seat in said valve body in fluid communication with said valve inlet port;
- a valve head disposed in said valve body having a closed position in sealing contact with said valve seat and an open position spaced from said valve seat;
- a fluid passageway associated with said valve body for connecting said valve inlet port to said valve outlet port when said valve head is in said open position;
- means for biasing said valve head to said closed position;
- handle means outside said building for selectively overcoming said biasing means and for moving said valve head to said open position; and
- pressure means associated with said valve head for causing said valve head to remain in said open position in response to a buildup of pressure upstream of said valve head due to operation of said pump in association with restriction of flow by said spray wand.
