A centrifugally cast hollow fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) column having straight sides and angled corners centrifugally cast as one piece with the angled corners and having a substantially uniform FRP wall thickness around the periphery of the column, and hollow angled corner fillers interior of the column adjacent each corner, the corner fillers having angled straight sides adhered to straight interior wall surfaces of the column adjacent the respective corners.
- 2. The column of claim 1 wherein the corner fillers are hollow plastic extrusions.
- 3. The column of claim 2 wherein the corner fillers are made of a wood filled plastic material.
- 4. The column of claim 3 wherein the plastic material is high impact polystyrene.
- 5. The column of claim 1 wherein the corner fillers have a convexly curved hypotenuse.
- 6. The column of claim 1 wherein the corner fillers extend substantially the entire length of the column.
- 7. A centrifugally cast hollow fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) column having straight sides and right angled corners centrifugally cast as one piece with the angled corners and having a substantially uniform FRP wall thickness around the periphery of the column, and angled corner fillers interior of the column adjacent each corner, the corner fillers having right angled straight sides adhered to straight interior wall surfaces of the column adjacent the respective corners, the corner fillers being hollow plastic extrusions and extending substantially the entire length of the column.
- 8. The column of claim 7 wherein the corner fillers have a convexly curved hypotenuse.
