1. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a charger, and more particularly to a charger having multiple charging portions.
2. Description of Related Art
With an advancement of the technology, human beings tend to rely on electronic device to a greater degree. To meet the requirement of a light, thin, compact and high performance handheld electronic device, various handheld electronic device, such as ultra mobile personal computer (UMPC), tablet PC, pocket PC, personal digital assistant (PDA) and cell phone, are provided. Accordingly, various portable electronic devices such as notebook computers, tablet PCs and smart phones are gradually popularized in consumer market. In addition, in order to meet market trends and consumer expectations, wearable devices (e.g., a smart watch) are also gradually popularized.
A battery of the portable electronic devices and the wearable devices may be charged through a charger. In case a user owns multiple electronic devices together with their accessories, multiple chargers are usually required for said devices and accessories. As a result, it is inconvenient in storing or carrying the chargers, and the user may be confuse in using multiple chargers.
The invention is directed to a charger capable of charging different types of electronic devices or the accessories thereof.
A charger of the invention includes a base and a clamping component. The base includes a first charging portion and a second charging portion. The clamping component is connected to the base and aligned to the first charging portion and the second charging portion. A first charging space is formed between the clamping component and the first charging portion, and a second charging space is formed between the clamping component and the second charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, a first electronic device is adapted to be clamped between the clamping component and the first charging portion and charged through the first charging portion, and a second electronic device is adapted to be clamped between the clamping component and the second charging portion and charged through the second charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the first charging portion has a plurality of first electrical contacts, and the second charging portion has a plurality of second electrical contacts.
In an embodiment of the invention, a quantity of the first electrical contacts is different from a quantity of the second electrical contacts.
In an embodiment of the invention, a distance between the first charging portion and the clamping component is greater than a distance between the second charging portion and the clamping component.
In an embodiment of the invention, a thickness of the first charging portion is less than a thickness of the second charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the base includes a first connecting portion, and the clamping component is movably connected to the first connecting portion to be adapted to rotate in relative to the base, so as to change the distance between the clamping component and the first charging portion and change the distance between the clamping component and the second charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the clamping component includes a clamping portion, a pressing portion and a second connecting portion. The second connecting portion is pivoted to the first connecting portion; the first charging portion and the second charging portion are aligned to the clamping portion; the pressing portion is adapted to be pressed to drive the clamping component to rotate along a rotating direction, so as to increase a distance between the clamping portion and the first charging portion and a distance between the clamping component and the second charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the clamping portion and the pressing portion are connected to different sides of the second connecting portion respectively, and the first charging portion and the second charging portion are located on the same side of the first connecting portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the charger includes an elastic component in which the elastic component is connected between the base and the clamping component, and the clamping component is adapted to rotate along the rotating direction in resistance to an elastic force of the elastic component.
In an embodiment of the invention, the clamping component includes a first clamping portion, a second clamping portion and a second connecting portion. The second connecting portion is movably connected to the first connecting portion; the first charging portion and the second charging portion are aligned to the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion respectively; the first clamping portion is adapted to be pressed to drive the clamping component to rotate along a first rotating direction to increase a distance between the second clamping portion and the second charging portion; and the second clamping portion is adapted to be pressed to drive the clamping component to rotate along a second direction to increase a distance between the first clamping portion and the first charging portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion are connected to different sides of the second connecting portion respectively, and the first charging portion and the second charging portion are located on different sides of the first connecting portion.
In an embodiment of the invention, the charger includes a first elastic component and a second elastic component. Therein, the first elastic component and the second elastic component are connected between the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion, and the clamping component is adapted to rotate along the first rotating direction in resistance to an elastic force of the first elastic component and adapted to rotate along the second direction in resistance to an elastic force of the second elastic component.
In an embodiment of the invention, the charger includes a frame. Therein, the frame has an accommodating space; the base is pivoted to the frame and adapted to rotate in relative to the frame to move the first clamping portion or the second clamping portion into the accommodating space; the frame generates elastic deformation and pushes the first clamping portion to drive the clamping component to rotate when the first clamping portion is located in the accommodating space and the frame is pressed; and the frame generates elastic deformation and pushes the second clamping portion to drive the clamping component to rotate when the second clamping portion is located in the accommodating space and the frame is pressed.
In an embodiment of the invention, the frame includes a bottom portion, a top portion and an elastic portion. The elastic portion is connected between the bottom portion and the top portion; the bottom portion and the top portion form the accommodating space; the base is pivoted to the bottom portion; and the elastic portion generates elastic deformation and the top portion pushes the first clamping portion or the second clamping portion when the top portion is pressed.
Based on above, in the charger of the invention, the base further includes the second charging portion in addition to the first charging portion, so that one single charger is capable of charging different types of the electronic devices and the accessories thereof respectively through the first charging portion and the second charging portion. Accordingly, amount of the chargers may be reduced, so that it is convenient in storing or carrying the chargers for the user, and the problem of confusion in using multiple chargers may also be solved.

More specifically, the base 210 of the present embodiment includes a first connecting portion 216, and the first charging portion 212 and the second charging portion 214 are located on the different sides of the first connecting portion 216, respectively. The clamping component 220 includes a first clamping portion 222, a second clamping portion 224 and a second connecting portion 226. The first clamping portion 222 and the second clamping portion 224 are connected to different sides of the second connecting portion 226, respectively. A difference between the charger 300 and the charger 200 is that, the charger 300 further includes a frame 340. The frame 340 includes a bottom portion 342, a top portion 344 and an elastic portion 346, and has an accommodating space S3. The elastic portion 346 is connected between the bottom portion 342 and the top portion 344, and the accommodating space S3 is formed between the bottom portion 342 and the top portion 344. In summary, in the charger of the invention, the base further includes the second charging portion in addition to the first charging portion, so that one single charger is capable of charging different types of the electronic devices and the accessories thereof respectively through the first charging portion and the second charging portion. Accordingly, amount of the chargers may be reduced, so that it is convenient in storing or carrying the chargers for the user, and the problem of confusion in using multiple chargers may also be solved. In addition, the clamping component is designed to act with respect to the base to change the distance between the clamping portion and the charging portion, so that the user may place the electronic device between the clamping portion and the charging portion, so that the operations of the charger may be easier.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made to the structure of the present disclosure without departing from the scope or spirit of the disclosure. In view of the foregoing, it is intended that the present disclosure cover modifications and variations of this disclosure provided they fall within the scope of the following claims and their equivalents.
