FEATURE DESCRIPTION

The figures illustrate a child resistant packaging. The nature and environmental use of the claimed design is for containing products.

Features of the article that are not shown are disclaimed. Additionally, any features shown in broken lines are for illustrative purposes only and form no part of the claimed design.

With reference now to FIGS. 1-3, a child-resistant package 100 is described. The package 100 may have a first side 102 and a second side 104 coupled to the first side 102. A tear strip 108 may be provided. Instructions 101 for opening may be placed on one or both sides 102, 104 of the package 100.

FIGS. 4-6 illustrate the package 100 with a top portion torn off at tear strip 108 to expose a zipper engagement 110. The tearing of the top portion may result in the first side 102 having a first tear portion 108a and the second side 104 having a second tear portion 108b, and the zipper engagement 110 separating to a first zipper portion 110a and a second zipper portion 110b.

As illustrated in FIG. 7, the first side 102 and/or the second side 104 may include a plurality of layers.

In some embodiments, a side 102 may have an outer side 102a, a layer of OPP 122, a layer of KRAFT 124, a layer of VMPET 126, a layer of PE 128, and an interior side 102.

In some embodiments, a side 102 may have an outer side 102a, a layer of PET 132, a layer of VMPET 134, a layer of PE 136, and an interior side 102b.

In some embodiments, a side 102 may have an outer side 102a and an inner side 102a, a plurality of layers 142. 144, 146, 150, which may be selected from the group consisting of OPP, KRAFT VMPET, PE, and PET. The side 102 may further include a layer of coloring 148 between or mixed with the plurality of layers 142, 144, 146, 150.
