The disclosure and prior art relates to hair washing sinks and more particularly pertains to a new hair washing sink for assisted hair washing.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a support bowl having a bottom side, an open top side, a wall, a front side, and a back side. The front side has a contoured neck rest that is configured to receive the neck of a child. The bottom side has a drain aperture extending therethrough. The wall has a top perimeter having a plurality of cavities. The support bowl is configured to rest on a floor of a bathtub. A plurality of bottles each has a body and a pump dispenser. The body of each of the plurality of bottles is selectively engageable within the plurality of cavities of the wall of the support bowl. A rinse cup has a bottom end, an open top end, and a pour spout. The bottom end is selectively engageable within the plurality of cavities of the wall of the support bowl.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A shower head attachment 50 comprises a faucet attachment 52, a hose 54, and a spray head 56. The faucet attachment 52 is configured to selectively engage with a faucet 58 of the bathtub. The hose 54 is coupled to the faucet attachment 52. The spray head 56 is coupled to the hose 54 and has a handle 60 and a head 62. A drain stopper 64 comprises a first stopper 66, a string 68, and a second stopper 70. The first stopper 66 is selectively engageable with the drain aperture 32 of the support bowl and is configured to retain water within the support bowl 12. The string 68 is coupled between the first stopper 66 and the second stopper 70. The second stopper 70 is configured to selectively engage with a tub drain 72 to retain water within the bathtub 46. A plurality of bottles 74 each has a body 76 and a pump dispenser 78. The body 76 of each of the plurality of bottles is selectively engageable within the plurality of cavities 36 of the wall of the support bowl. The plurality of bottles 74 may comprise a soap bottle 80 and a shampoo bottle 82. A rinse cup 84 has a bottom end 86, an open top end 88, and a pour spout 90. The bottom end 86 is selectively engageable within the plurality of cavities 36 of the wall of the support bowl. The plurality of bottles 74 and the rinse cup 84 may thus be securely kept close at hand to the support bowl 12.
In use, the faucet attachment 52 is coupled to the faucet 58 of the bathtub and the support bowl 12 is placed into the bathtub 46. The child 28 may then be placed in the bathtub 46 such that her neck 26 is supported by the neck rest 24 and her head 30 is supported on the bottom side 14 of the support bowl. A parent may then wash the child's hair with both hands free, utilizing the spray head 56, the plurality of bottles 74, and the rinse cup 84.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
