- 3. In the chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 2 wherein in the vacuum eductors are seal-less vacuum eductors.
- 4. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 wherein precursor chemicals for manufacturing chlorine dioxide are sodium chlorite and chlorine gas.
- 5. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 4 wherein the supply of chlorine gas is dispensed using a mass dispersion chlorine flow meter to aid in efficiently producing chlorine dioxide.
- 6. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 5 wherein the mass dispersion chlorine flowmeter is electronic.
- 7. The chlorine dioxide generator system of claim 1 wherein the precursor chemicals for manufacturing chlorine dioxide are sodium chlorite, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.
- 8. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 incorporating a touch screen that allows the operator to look at data, make changes and monitor operating conditions.
- 9. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 8 wherein the touch screen displays precursor chemical flow rate, chlorine dioxide concentration, set point and process variable.
- 10. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 which has incorporated therein a proportional, integral and derivative loop.
- 11. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 having a shut-down signal for no flow, low flow, empty tank, gas-in-air and/or set point deviation.
- 12. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 programmed to compare the current month's consumption of chemicals with past months' consumption of chemicals.
- 13. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 wherein the chlorine dioxide level is determined by an optical analyzer.
- 14. The chlorine dioxide generator system of claim 1 which is provided with an automatic efficiency control screen which is able to be set for a range of efficiency control and to have an alarm to indicate that the efficiency is not being maintained.
- 15. The chlorine dioxide generator system of claim 14 wherein the automatic efficiency control screen is provided with “on”, “off” or “manual” features.
- 16. The chloride dioxide generator system of claim 14 wherein the automatic efficiency control screen is provided with an efficiency set point and process variable displayed on a trend display for a quick observation of system stability.
- 17. The chlorine dioxide generation system of claim 1 wherein the precursor chemicals are supplied through flow meters, valves and other fittings that are substantially free of o-rings.
- 18. In a chlorine dioxide generation system, the improvement comprising supplying the precursor chemical in a system wherein the reaction column, check valve/metering valve assembly, chemical rotameters, tubing connectors and water bleed inlet valve are joined free of o-rings by using devices designed to seal without the use of o-ring seals.
- 19. A chlorine dioxide generation system comprising a programmable logic controller, controlling the introduction of precursor chemicals, with the amount of precursor chemicals to be introduced being further controlled by the amount of chlorine dioxide produced and further with precursor chemicals being introduced with a system which is substantially free of o-rings, the system being further provided with a touch screen interface supplying information and being able to receive on the screen touch signals for altering operative conditions of the system.
