Description

The present invention relates to a cigarette box with an additional outer screen walls resulting from the inner or/and outer blank of the box, covering and screening the box as a whole, and the system of theirs configuration and its blanks.

The U.S. Pat. No. 3,011,630 discloses the cigarette box combined with matches, wherein the matches are exposed when the box is opened, and are protected by an overlaying cover or flap when the box is closed. In one embodiment of the invention the upper part of the box and its rear part, a bottom wall and side walls, as well as the cover protecting the matches, are formed as an individual cut-out or blank. The second blank includes an inner front wall lamina and an inner side wall lamina. The third blank includes an outer front wall lamina and intermediate side wall lamina. The outer front wall lamina holds the pack of matches, in such a way, that it forms a typical unit of matches attached to the outer surface. The second and third blanks are joined together, and the second blank protrudes over the upper edge of the third blank. These joined blanks form an insert, which closes the open front part of the main blank. The match unit is attached to the outer front wall and is covered by the cover for the matches.

From the polish patent application P 355833 is known the cigarette box and its blank. The box has a shape of rectangular prism and has the hinged lid. Said box includes a storage part intended to store the cigarettes and the hinged lid joined to the storage part by means of an articulated joint placed on the rear wall, wherein the front wall of the lid is longer than its rear wall, and the side walls of the lid are oblique. The box is characterized in that, the storage part is equipped with an additional inner front wall and the outer front wall of the storage part is hinged, whereas between the hinged front wall and the inner front wall there is an additional storage space. Matches are placed in the storage space. The hinged outer front wall has a fixing substance along its edges. The hinged inner front wall has also the fixing substance along its edges. The edge of the hinged outer front wall is placed under the edge of the box lid. The edges of the inner side walls are attached to the inner front wall. The edges of the inner side walls and corner walls are attached to the inner front wall. The matches are attached to the hinged front wall. The matches are attached to the inner front wall.

From the polish patent application P 370152 is known the cigarette box with the hinged lid, which has the shape of the rectangular prism and includes the storage part intended to store the cigarettes. The hinged lid is joined to the storage part by means of the articulated joint placed on the rear wall, whereas the front wall of the lid is longer than its rear wall, and the side walls of the lid are oblique. Said storage part is equipped with an additional inner front wall and the outer front wall of the storage part is hinged, wherein between the hinged front wall and the inner front wall is formed an additional storage space, preferably for matches, a lighter or other objects. The end of the outer front wall is tapered and bended towards the interior of the box. The box is characterized in that, the inner front wall has two overpresses, placed one above the other, directed to the inside of the box, of which the lower overpress of the inner front wall forms the storage part, and the front wall is made of the same material as the box is made, or the front wall is made of transparent or semi-transparent material or it has the overpress (17) directed outwards and forming an additional storage space.

From the polish patent application P 392302 is known the cigarette box with a flap hinged independently from the upper hinged lid that provides the box with a separate and opened independently from the upper hinged lid additional storage space. This application discloses the cigarette box with the additional separate storage space that is opened independently from the upper hinged lid, which is arranged either on the front or the back of the box, and its blank.

This application discloses cigarette box and its variants, which includes the hinged lid—the upper cover, an outer flange resulting from the inner front wall, has the shape based on the rectangular prism and contains the storage part intended to store the cigarettes and the additional storage part arranged either on the front or the back of the box.

The cigarettes box includes the hinged lid joined to the storage part by means of an articulated joint placed on the rear wall, wherein the front wall of the lid is longer than its rear wall, whereas the side walls of the lid are oblique. Said storage part is provided with the additional inner front blank with joined front wall forming the outer flange of the box and the outer front wall/the front lower flap of the storage part is hinged independently from the upper hinged lid, whereas between the independently hinged front wall/the front lower flap and the inner front wall there is the additional storage space advantageous to place an overprint or the objects, or the box includes the additional storage space formed on the rear part of the box with the lower rear flap that is opened independently from the upper hinged lid. Said independently hinged lower rear flap results from the inner front blank of the box with the additional lower front wall of the box, which is elongated and directed backwards. Thus, the inner front blank with the additional elongated lower front wall forms the outer flange of the box and/or results from the blank of the lower outer casing of the box lower wall, which is reversed and directed backwards and/or results from the doubled in the middle part blank of the outer casing of the box lower part and directed backwards.

The box with the lower front or rear flap, that is opened independently from the upper hinged lid is characterized in that, the inner front blank and its lower elongated wall does not have and/or has one or more overpresses, which subsequently form a visible outer flange of the box without hinging the lower flap or after the lower flap is hinged, independently whether the lower flap is placed on the front or on the rear of the box, and in that, the inner front wall of the front inner blank of the box does not have and/or has the additional lower wall attached directly to the bottom wall.

The box with the lower rare flap that is opened independently from the upper lid is characterized in that, the outer casing of the box middle rear wall does not have and/or has one or more overpresses, which consequently together with the independently opened lower rear flap resulting directly from inner front blank or the outer casing of the box, form the additional storage space. Advantageously, in the separate storage part arranged on the front or rear of the box, the overprint or the objects can be placed, and the access to this part is independent from the upper lid.

The box is formed by the joint configuration of two parts:

the outer casing of the box and the inner front blank of the box.

The box is characterized by a simple design based on the rectangular prism and by including separate additional storage space opened independently from the upper hinged lid which has additional function as an overprint and information carrier.

The box and its variants give the user free access to the separate independent storage space and allow to use its contents and/or information, for example health information, before opening the main upper lid to storage space with the cigarettes.

In the state of the art there is no the cigarettes box with the additional outer walls, that are additionally and externally covering and screening the box as a whole in a systemic way and directly result from the variants of the box blanks.

The aim of the present invention is thus to obtain the cigarette box covered as a whole with the system of the additional outer screening walls, exact inner part of which includes the inner cigarette box, which is additionally externally protected and hidden from the view before the additional outer walls are torn off or uncovered.

The new box, system of the additional outer walls and its variants, allow the manufacturer for complex protection and hiding an image of the adequate package. The new box allows the manufacturer to utilise the additional outer walls as a coupon able to be torn off or/and as an inner advertisement carrier and inner and outer health information before the user makes use of the contents of the adequate package with the cigarettes. The new box covered with the system of the outer walls also allows the manufacturer to keep the traditional image of the adequate package after their separation by the user.

The new box, system of the additional outer walls and its variants, allow the user for complex protection and hiding the image of the adequate package before its use. Once the system of the outer screening walls is torn off, the new box allows the user to obtain an advertising coupon and the health information coupon, and in consequence to receive the traditional image of the adequate package with the cigarettes.

The subject of the present invention is the cigarette box and its variants and blanks, which includes the hinged lid—the upper cover, the lower front or/and rear hinged flap, the outer flange resulting from the inner front wall, said box has the shape based on the rectangular prism, and contains the storage part intended to store the cigarettes, additional storage part arranged either on the front or the back of the box, that is formed by means of the lower hinged flap and the outer additional screening walls resulting from the inner or/and the outer blank of the box—casing, that are externally covering the box as a whole and the system of theirs configuration and its blanks.

Cigarette box includes the hinged lid joined with the storage part for cigarettes by means of the articulated joint placed on the rear wall, and it has the lower flap arranged on the front and/or the back of the box resulting from the inner part of the box or from the outer casing of the box in order to form the additional storage part, that is dependent or independent from the upper hinged lid and includes additional outer walls directly resulting from the inner part of the box or/and from the outer casing of the box.

The box is characterised in that, the additional outer walls result directly from and are joined to the edge of the inner part and/or the outer part of the casing of the box and together form the additional external package, based on the rectangular prism of the adequate package.

The box is characterised in that, the additional outer walls joined to the edge of the inner part and/or the outer part of the casing of the box are able to be successively torn off either individually or as a whole, wherein the sum of their surface areas is equal to or greater than the sum of the surface area of the adequate package that is visible. The outer walls that are joined directly and result from the inner part of the box or from the outer casing of the box, are made of the same material as the adequate package, and they are connected to the adequate package with one or more edges of bend or perforation, which are preferred to be uncovered or torn off. The additional outer walls can be also affixed by means of adhesive or other agent, and can be made of component material, that is thinner or similar to the component material of the adequate package.

The box is characterised in that, the additional outer walls with their size of the surface area and the configuration system of connection to the inner part of the box and/or outer casing of the box, form complete external additional box, which is protecting and screening the adequate package.

The box is characterised in that, when the box is in the closed position and entirely assembled, its visible surface of the corresponding side of the external package is equal to or larger than the surface of the corresponding side of the inner package, that is protected or screened by this side.

The box is characterised in that, the side of the inner adequate package may be composed of the surface area of the one visible component wall or/and the sum of the surface areas of the two visible component walls, from which it is formed—when the box is completely assembled in its closed position, and in that, the corresponding side of the additional external package may be composed of the surface area of the one visible component wall or/and the sum of the surface areas of the two visible component walls, from which it is formed—when the box is completely assembled in its closed position.

The box is characterised in that, the common edges of the additional outer walls of the external package are equal to or/and larger than the edges of the walls of the inner adequate package they are joined to and directly result from.

The box is characterised in that, it consists of two parts—the inner front part and the outer casing part composing the adequate package and the additional outer walls forming the additional screening and protecting package, wherein the additional outer walls are joined to the inner front part of the adequate package or/and the outer casing of the adequate package, and theirs configuration when the box is assembled is based on the rectangular prism and completely screens the adequate package in the assembled closed position, has a simple structure and utilisation, and allows to use one-sided or/and two-sided printing of the box according to used variant and configuration between the parts of the box.

Another subject of the present invention is the blank and its preferred variants to obtain the cigarette box with the front or rear lower flap that is independently or dependently hinged from the upper hinged lid, which forms the adequate package for cigarettes and/or the additional storage space and the additional external package which completely protects and screens the adequate package. Obtained adequate cigarette box to contain the cigarettes as well as the external protecting and screening package common with it, is composed of the connection of two blanks and appropriate configuration between them. The whole box is formed by the connection of two blanks, that is the blank of the inner front wall for the formation of the adequate package and/or the additional outer walls resulting directly from it, that form the outer protecting and screening sheath of the box, and the blank of the outer casing of the adequate package and/or the additional outer walls resulting directly from it, that form the outer protecting and screening sheath of the box.

The box is characterised in that, within longitudinally expanded blank of the outer casing of the adequate package together with and/or adjoined additional outer walls of the sheath of the protecting package, there are situated the walls of the adequate package and joined to this package visible walls of the external protecting package: the lower wall, the upper wall, the side wall, the side wall, the main rear wall and/or consisting of the sum of the two walls, the main front wall and/or consisting of the sum of the two walls and the auxiliary wall as the connector.

Within longitudinally expanded blank of the inner front wall of the adequate package together with and/or adjoined the additional outer walls of the sheath of the protecting package, there are situated the walls of the adequate package and joined to this package the walls of the external protecting package: the lower wall, the upper wall, the side wall, the side wall, the main rear wall and/or consisting of the sum of the two walls, the main front wall and/or consisting of the sum of the two walls and the auxiliary wall as the connector.

The box is characterised in that, all walls of the external protecting-screening package blank are situated and result from the front blank of the inner wall and/or the blank of the outer casing and/or all these walls are situated and result from both of these blanks, wherein when the box is assembled and is in its closed position, the visible surface of these walls without auxiliary connector completely protects and screens the surface of the adequate package.

Moreover, the blanks either together or separately, both the blank of the front inner wall and the outer casing blank of the box are characterised in that, cumulatively they have one, or two, or three or four common edges with adjoined additional outer walls of the external protecting-screening package, wherein these edges are formed by means of bends, or perforations or adhesive or similar means allowing to bend and/or tear off along these edges.

Additionally, advantageously the blanks of the external protecting-screening package are characterised in that, the connections between their component walls are formed by means of bends, or perforations or adhesive or similar means allowing to bend and/or tear off along these edges of each of these walls, whereas the component walls are made of the same material that the adequate package is made of, or the thinner material and/or the similar material, in the case of the connections are made by means of adhesive or similar means allowing to bend and/or tear off.
