This invention pertains to the food industry and more particularly to the manufacture of cigarette wrappers.
A cigarette wrapper known in the prior art (Patent of Ukraine No 4255, C1. A24D 1/00, A24C 5/46, publ. 2005) comprises a tubular mouthpiece made of carton cardboard, a tubular protective rod contacting with the mouthpiece, also made of carton cardboard. The mouthpiece and the protective rod constitute a single tubular surface enclosed by a sleeve made of rolling paper. The protective rod and the mouthpiece are of the same length, their total length exceeding that of the sleeve.
Prior to use, either a herbal smoking blend is at first fed inside the protective rod using a special accessory according to the protective rod configuration, followed with removal of the latter from the sleeve making the cigarette ready for use, or the protective rod is at first removed, after which a tobacco blend is fed inside.
However, in such a wrapper, the smoking blend spills out into the mouthpiece, and the smoking agent is drawn into the smoker's mouth affecting the comfort of use.
The task underlying this invention is that of preventing the smoking blend from spilling out into the mouthpiece, thus improving the comfort of use and providing additional filtration.
The task set is achieved due to the fact that in the inventive cigarette wrapper (herein also called ‘cigarette tube’) comprises a tubular mouthpiece made of cardboard, enclosed into a sleeve made of rolling paper and exceeding in length the mouthpiece, a tip of the mouthpiece is, according to the invention, slightly compressed inwards providing for a partial shutoff of the mouthpiece's cavity, whereas a cardboard rod, double bent lengthwise, is inserted into the mouthpiece from the other end thereof.
When a smoking blend is fed, the compressed end of the cigarette wrapper prevents the smoking blend from spilling out into the mouthpiece, and a rod inside the mouthpiece prevents the smoking blend from getting into the smoker's mouth, i.e. serves as a filter and makes the mouthpiece stiffer so that it is comfortable to use.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a cigarette wrapper comprises: a tubular mouthpiece 1, having a first and a second end, made of cardboard enclosed into a sleeve 3 made of rolling (cigarette) paper being longer than the mouthpiece 1; a tip 3 of the mouthpiece 1, located at the first end of the mouthpiece (from which first end the smoking mix/blend is fed into the mouthpiece) is predeterminedly compressed inwards; and a cardboard rod 4 twice bent lengthwise being inserted inside the mouthpiece 1 through the second end thereof.
The cigarette wrapper is used as follows.
The cigarette sleeve 2 is withdrawn to a certain extent and a smoking blend is fed inside the cigarette sleeve 2 making the cigarette ready for use.
Tobacco smoking is known to be among the most dangerous human addictions affecting health. Attempts to quit smoking are not always successful. Moreover, such attempts very often lead to negative results: the smoker becomes irritable, shows fatigue, his/her general state of health worsens, and the body weight grows. Substituting tobacco for other smoking agents, such as marjoram, thyme, mint or a herbal blend, assists a person in overcoming a psychophysical nicotine addiction. The inventive cigarettes can be used with any herbal blend, it is just enough to fill a cigarette rod with such a herbal blend.
