Claims
- 1. Circular knitting machine for the production of knit goods having combed-in fibers, with a preselected fiber density, comprising: a rotatable needle cylinder having needles with needle hooks; means for driving the needle cylinder during knitting cycles; a card which has means for feeding fibers, a comb-in zone through which the needles pass for contactless reception of fibers, and a teasing cylinder rotating at high speed which picks up the fibers from the feeding means and yields the fibers to the comb-in zone; first protective means which can be actuated into a working position for preventing fibers from being fed to the needles; second protective means which can be actuated into a working position for preventing just inserted fiber tufts from being removed from the needle hooks; an ejection flap which can be actuated into a working position for discharging excess fibers, and actuating means for actuating between successive knitting cycles said first and second protective means and said flap into said working positions substantially as long as the needle cylinder is at a standstill such that the preselected fiber density of the knit fabric is substantially maintained constant also when the teasing cylinder is not stopped between successive knitting cycles.
- 2. Circular knitting machine according to claim 1, wherein said first protective means has a blocking element, said blocking element in said working position covering the needle hooks of the needles in the comb-in zone and thereby preventing the combing of additional fibers into the needle hooks in the comb-in zone.
- 3. Circular knitting machine according to claim 2, wherein said blocking element is a displaceable blocking plate which can be pushed between the teasing cylinder and the needle hooks.
- 4. Circular knitting machine according to claim 1, wherein said second protective means has a blocking element, said blocking element in said working position covering fiber tufts in the needle hooks and thereby prevents the fiber tufts from being combed out when the teasing cylinder rotates.
- 5. Circular knitting machine according to claim 4, wherein the blocking element is a displaceably mounted blocking plate which can be pushed into the gap between the fiber tufts laid into the needle hooks and the teasing cylinder.
- 6. Circular knitting machine according to claim 1, wherein said ejection flap is a part of a fiber guide plate disposed behind the comb-in zone in the direction of rotation of the teasing cylinder.
- 7. Circular knitting machine according to claim 6, wherein the ejection flap is fastened pivotingly on the fiber guide plate.
- 8. Circular knitting machine according to claim 1, wherein the actuating means has electrically controllable actuators.
- 9. Circular knitting machine according to claim 1, wherein the actuating means is associated with a controller by means of which the actuating means are made active or inactive shortly before and after a still state of the needle cylinder.
- 10. Circular knitting machine for the production of knit goods having combed-in fibers, with a preselected fiber density, comprising: a rotatable needle cylinder having needles with needle hooks; means for driving the needle cylinder during knitting cycles; a card which has means for feeding fibers; a comb-in zone through which the needles pass for contactless reception of fibers; and a teasing cylinder rotating at high speed which picks up the fibers from the feeding means and yields the fibers to the comb-in zone; first proctective means which can be actuated for preventing fibers from being fed to the needles; second protective means which can be actuated for preventing fibers from being removed from the needles, and actuating means for actuating said first and second protective means such that the preselected fiber density of the knit fabric is substantially maintained constant also when the needle cylinder is stopped and again started between successive knitting cycles, wherein said first and second protective means has a common blocking element which is movable into a working position and a nonworking position, said blocking element in said working position covering both the needle hooks of the needles in the comb-in zone and fiber tufts already combed thereinto.
- 11. Circular knitting machine according to claim 10, wherein the blocking element is a displaceably mounted blocking plate which can be pushed both into the gap between the teasing cylinder and the needle hooks and into a gap between the fiber tufts laid into the needle hooks and the needle cylinder.
- 12. Circular knitting machine according to claim 11, wherein the blocking element is displaceably mounted in a guide slot of a casing surrounding the teasing cylinder.
- 13. Circular knitting machine for the production of knit goods having combed-in fibers, with a preselected fiber density, comprising: a rotatable needle cylinder having needles with needle hooks, means for driving the needle cylinder during knitting cycles, a card which has means for feeding fibers, a comb-in zone through which the needles pass for contactless reception of fibers, and a teasing cylinder rotating at high speed which picks up the fibers from the feeding means and yields the fibers to the comb-in zone; first protective means which can be actuated for preventing fibers from being fed to the needles; second protective means which can be actuated for preventing fibers from being removed from the needles; and actuating means for actuating said first and second protective means such that the preselected fiber density of the knit fabric is substantially maintained constant also when the needle cylinder is stopped and again started between successive knitting cycles, wherein the actuating means is associated with a controller by means of which the actuating means are made active or inactive shortly before and after a stand still of the needle cylinder, and wherein the controller has an indicator element associated with the driving means of the needle cylinder, said indicator element having an output at which an output signal proportional to the rotary speed of the needle cylinder appears, the output being connected with the input of at least one comparator, said comparator having an output emitting an operating signal for the actuating means upon reaching a preset value.
