The present disclosure relates to a clamping assembly, and more particularly to a clamping assembly for permitting passage of an elongated member through a wall.
Elongated members, such as hoses, are often required to be passed through walls, such as a wall of a machine surface. Conventionally, connectors such as, cut-outs with p-clips or stauff clamps and the like are employed. Typically, in order to pass the elongated members through the walls, the elongated members are required to be broken into two parts. A connector is then attached to a hole on the wall and the parts of the elongated members are connected on both sides of the connector.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,957,817 discloses a seal assembly comprising an elastomeric gland having insert openings and fastener openings. Elastomeric inserts are removably disposed in the gland insert openings. The inserts have removable portions to form one or more cable openings. Thus, cable(s) can be placed in the cable openings. End plates are disposed at each end of the gland. The end plates are formed of complementary plate members, which, when mated together, form a unitized end plate defining fastener openings and cable openings.
