Abstract

An under the necktie fastener that keeps the necktie secured to the shirt. With the use of a holder on the necktie, an attached plate, and a holder that adheres to the shirt, the invention fastens together with a secure bond. It used the infrastructure of the shirt and tie, to connect and secure the tie to the wearer.

FIELD

This invention relates to the tie clip, that of clipping the tie to the wearer. In keeping the tie centered and secured, this is a novel idea to a necktie stay. The goal for using a tie stay, in general, is to allow for your attire to stay symmetrical, uniform, attached, and inline. The main purpose, simply, is to keep the tie centered and out of the way.

BACKGROUND

Tie clips are a product that has been used for decades. They are used to attach the tie to the shirt, however most of the time the wearer does not attach to the shirt. This renders the tie clip useful to keep the tie, and it's tail in place, but not in keeping the entire tie in place. Many, typically men, get ready and grab a tie clip to keep their look as uniform as possible. Some like tie clips for the aesthetics or just the functional nature. The main job of a tie restraint is to keep the tie in place and not have to worry. Many times throughout the day a person might fix the clip to make sure it's straight. This invention looks to alleviate that, clipping and snapping on once, and you're good all day. It is under the tie, out of side and uses form functionality nature of other tie restraints.

Style often rests in the details, normal tie accessories help complete any look. By the time your necktie collection is growing and when you are wearing ties on a more regular basis, you may want to think about getting yourself a necktie accessory to hold your tie in place at all times and prevent it from getting in your way when you eat, work or play. A tie clip, or tie bar, can be used in any occasion. They can be used to enhance your presence, add to your ensemble, or to keep your tie front and centered. You shouldn't have to worry about pulling you tie from over your shoulder, repositioning your tie, or tie clip. Not to mention, your tie could sway side to side, or forward when you sit down. You don't want a tie soaked with coffee or when you button your jacket it's to one side or the other. A tie clip keeps your tie at rest, centered, and out of mind to allow you to focus on the event you should be engaged at. Don't let your tie get in the way or make a bad first impression.

BRIEF SUMMARY

This product is an invisible magnet tie stay that incorporates the best from a tie clip, tie bar, tie pin, or tie keeper. It's simply function, meaning it has all the functionality of traditional tie stays but is behind the scenes, therefore invisible. It clips on and off with ease. There is no undoing from a button, or unpinning something, you just pull back on the tie and it detaches. When you want to put it one, it clips, securely, to the tie and shirt to give you peace of mind not having to play “Hide and seek” for the parts, if they came undone. Once the two pieces are in place and lined up, you simply let them snap together. This allows for a tie that stays center out of mind all day. It's durable, stays in place and most importantly keeps your tie inline. It's a functional approach to the classic tie clip or tie bar.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 illustrates a top view looking down on to the tie, if you see directing through the tie. Showing how the invention attaches to the shirt and over the tie keeper. The arrows show the magnetic attraction from the magnet, to pull the metal plate to attach to it.

FIG. 2 illustrates the view of looking at a person wearing a shirt and tie. The tie is twisted back, to show the backside of the tie, where the product is under the such tie. It shows where the product lines up, what it looks like on a shirt and a tie.

FIG. 3 illustrates the steps of putting on the invention, in a three-step-process.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The invention has two main parts:

A clip on plate (C) that attaches to the necktie keeper, tie tail restraint,

The magnetic bar (E), that slides on the placket of the shirt. Together they come together and can be removed by pulling on the tie, and simply clip off, to detach from one another.

There are six parts noted in the drawings.

A. The necktie

B. The tie keeper loop, a loop (or label) that holds the loose tie tail in place.

C. The metal plate, with attached to (B) the keeper loop.

D. The magnet, which is attached securely to the (E)

E. The magnetic clip, slides on the shirt (F)

F. The placket of the shirt, or the thick fabric along the the front seam of the shirt where the buttons button.

The clip works with two main parts: a clip-on plate (A), consisting of a clip (C) that wraps around the fabric tie holder (B) to be secured in the back of the tie, and the magnetic clip (E,D) that slides onto the shirt placket.

The plate (B) will then be positioned to line up with the second part on the shirt, the clip (E)

On the shirt the metal plate (C) will connect to a magnet (D). This magnet can be on a clip (E) that slides onto the shirt (F).

Once connected the unit allows the tie to be centered, retained to the shirt and invisible. This will allow to unclip the tie, to through over shoulder or tighten the tie without the need to take off the clip. It pins back in place. Snap and your good.

Claims

1. A hidden necktie stay system that is comprised of: a person, wearer to adhere the tie and shirt;a button up shirt, with a placket of fabric to have a bar to slide on;a standard necktie with a label or keeper look that the metal clasp can attach to and be removed.

2. A necktie fastening system in claim 1 that includes: a first member is attached to the placket of the shirt be use of the sliding bar;a second to be attached to the tie. Together they attach with magnetic, and removes the same.

3. A metal clip in claim 2, that attaches to the necktie's keeper loop or built in, by sewing or stamped.

4. A metal clip in claim 2, that is made of a magnetic metal.

5. A magnetic bar in claim 2, which is made of a magnet, and a slide on bar; that of link a small money clip.

6. A metal clip in claim 3, a connector to the tie keeper in so to be able to magnetize to.

7. A bar the attaches the shirt in claim 2, whereas of a magnet to attach to the metal plate claim 4.

8. The clip in claim 2 are not limited to metal, can be plastic or another material.
