Claims
- 1. A holder for isolating movable objects from crawling arthropods in combination with an object to be protected having a rotatable member extending beneath the object, comprising:an adapter consisting of a single rectangular deep opening in an upper portion for receiving a substantial portion of the rotatable member, the single rectangular deep opening having a rectangular planar bottom floor that is perpendicular to four side walls of the opening, the adapter having a downwardly projecting plug member; a coaster member having an opening for receiving a portion of the plug member; a shield adjacent to the coaster member; and an arthropod deterring component attached to an undersurface of the shied, for deterring crawling arthropods from reaching the object, wherein the shield protects humans from coming into contact with the arthropod deterring component.
- 2. The holder of claim 1, wherein the rotatable member is selected from at least one of: a wheel and a caster.
- 3. The holder of claim 1, wherein the object includes: a barbecue grill.
- 4. The holder of claim 1, wherein the object includes: a garbage can trolley.
- 5. The holder of claim 1, wherein the object includes: a wheel barrel.
- 6. The holder of claim 1, wherein the coaster member further includes:a support surface for distributing a load directly applied by the object through the rotatable member.
- 7. The holder of claim 1, wherein the coaster member further includes:an upper portion being in a telescoping mateable connection with a lower connector portion of a receiving member.
- 8. A holder arrangement for isolating movable objects from crawling arthropods comprising in combination:an object to be protected having at least one rotatable member extended downward beneath the object, the at least one rotatable member being selected from one of a wheel and a caster, and at least one stationary leg not having any rotatable member thereon; an adapter consisting of a single rectangular deep opening for receiving a substantial portion of the rotatable member, the single rectangular deep opening having a rectangular planar bottom floor that is perpendicular to four side walls of the opening, the adapter having a downwardly protruding plug portion; a coaster portion having an opening for receiving a portion of the plug portion; and an arthropod deterring component adjacent to the holder, for deterring crawling arthropods from reaching the moveable object.
- 9. The holder arrangement of claim 8, wherein the coaster portion further includes:a support surface for distributing a load applied by the object through the rotatable member.
- 10. The holder arrangement of claim 8, wherein the coaster portion further includes:an upper connector portion for being telescoping mateable with a lower connector portion of a receiving portion.
- 11. The holder arrangement of claim 8, further comprising:a shield adjacent to the holder, wherein the arthropod deterring component is attached to an undersurface of the shield so that the shield protects humans from coming into contact with the arthropod deterring component.
- 12. A method for impeding a route of travel of crawling arthropods from reaching movable objects, comprising the steps of:providing a coaster on a surface beneath a moveable object, the coaster having a receiving portion adjacent to an upper side of the coaster; inserting a plug portion of an adapter into the receiving portion of the coaster; inserting a rotatable member extending down from the object substantially into a single rectangular deep opening of the adapter, the adapter consisting of the single rectangular deep opening having a rectangular bottom floor that is perpendicular to four side walls of the opening; and deterring crawling arthropods from progressing to the moveable object from the surface by attaching an arthropod deterring component to an undersurface portion of a shield adjacent to the coaster.
- 13. The method of claim 12 further comprising the step of:distributing a load applied by the moveable object to a surface portion of the coaster.
