- (b) a plurality of individual non-abrasive particles bonded together by an adhesive to form an agglomerate,
- (c) a plurality of individual abrasive particles and a plurality of individual non-abrasive particles bonded together by an adhesive to form an agglomerate,
- (d) individual non-abrasive particles,
- (e) individual abrasive particles, and
- (f) combinations of (a) through (e).
- 4. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 2 wherein the shaped abrasive particles further comprise a nucleating agent.
- 5. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 4 wherein the nucleating agent is selected from the group consisting of alpha alumina, alpha ferric oxide, alpha ferric oxide precursor, titanium oxides, titanates, and chrome oxides.
- 6. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 2 wherein the shaped abrasive particles have an aspect ratio of at least 2 to 1.
- 7. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 2 wherein the shaped abrasive particles have an aspect ratio of at least 3 to 1.
- 8. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 2 wherein the shaped abrasive particles have a particle size between 50 and 1500 micrometers.
- 9. A coated abrasive article in accordance with claim 3 wherein the adhesive is an inorganic or organic adhesive.
