Claims
- 1. A substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating, wherein said coating is formed from a coating solution which is a homogeneous solution or dispersion comprising:
- at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an acetylacetonate chelate compound and condensates thereof;
- an inorganic conductive compound;
- in a mixture of water and an organic solvent,
- where in the acetylacetonate compound is represented by the following formula: ##STR2## wherein a+b is 2-4, a is 0-3, b is 1-4, R is C.sub.n H.sub.2n+1 -- (n=3 or 4), X is CH.sub.3 --, CH.sub.3 O, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 --, or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 O--, and M.sub.1 is an element selected from Groups IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IVB, VA, VB, VIA, VIIA, or VIII or vanadyl (VO); and wherein said substrate has a surface resistance of 10.sup.3 -10.sup.11 .OMEGA./.quadrature., a total light transmission of at least 85% and a haze of less than 10%.
- 2. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 1, wherein said coated substrate is a face-plate of a display device and has a resolving power of at least 50 bars/cm.
- 3. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 1, wherein a transparent protective coating is formed on said transparent conductive ceramic coating.
- 4. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 3, wherein said coated substrate is a face-plate of a display device and has a resolving power of at least 50 bars/cm.
- 5. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 1, wherein said coated substrate is a platen glass of a copy machine.
- 6. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 3, wherein said coated substrate is a platen glass of a copy machine.
- 7. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 3, wherein said transparent protective coating consists essentially of at least one of SiO.sub.2 and ZrO.sub.2.
- 8. A substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating, wherein said coating is formed from a coating solution which is a homogeneous solution or dispersion comprising:
- at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an acetylacetonate chelate compound and condensates thereof;
- an inorganic conductive compound;
- in a mixture of water and an organic solvent,
- wherein the acetylacetonate compound is represented by the following formula: ##STR3## wherein a+b is 2-4, a is 0-3, b is 1-4, R is C.sub.n H.sub.2n+1 -- (n=3 or 4), X is CH.sub.3 --, CH.sub.3 O, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 --, or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 O--, and M.sub.1 is an element selected from Groups IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IVB, VA, VB, VIA, VIIA, or VIII or vanadyl (VO); and wherein said substrate has a surface resistance of 10.sup.3 -10.sup.11 .OMEGA./.quadrature. and a glossiness of 30-100%.
- 9. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 8, wherein said coated substrate is a face-plate of a display device and has a resolving power of at least 50 bars/cm.
- 10. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 8, wherein a transparent protective coating is formed on said transparent conductive ceramic coating.
- 11. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 10, wherein said coated substrate is a face-plate of a display device and has a resolving power of at least 50 bars/cm.
- 12. The substrate coated with a transparent conductive ceramic coating as claimed in claim 10, wherein said transparent protective coating consists essentially of at least one of SiO.sub.2 and ZrO.sub.2.
