DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Embodiments of the present disclosure are generally related to garments. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to garments for enhanced appearance, comfort, sun protection, and collar versatility. For example, a sleeved garment may feature a collared shirt with a midsection cutoff, where the shirt's lower edge extends approximately midway down the torso area of the wearer, or the like. Exemplary embodiments may include a versatile solution to increase sun protection, collar integration, and wearer comfort over existing shirt options, including undershirts, t-shirts, other short sleeve shirts, and long sleeve shirts, separate arm sleeves, or the like.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a collared cutoff shirt with long sleeves, designed to be worn independently or under another shirt for comfort, sun protection, improved athletic performance, fashionable appearance, or the like. As used herein, the term “cutoff” may refer to a shirt or garment designed to expose the waist, navel area and lower back, or abdomen area of the wearer, and may also be referred to as a crop top shirt, a midriff top, a belly shirt, a short top, a short waist top, a bare-midriff top, a waist-baring shirt, a shortened hem top, or the like. A cutoff shirt garment may generally refer to a clothing article having an abbreviated length when compared with full length shirts and may be sized and designed to leave the lower torso of the wearer uncovered.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to garments that introduce a distinctive, useful, and stylish cutoff shirt that may be worn layered beneath a T-shirt or outer shirt or worn independently. A garment may combine a cutoff shirt with long sleeves and a collar and may be form-fitting to improve athletic performance, or the like. A garment in accordance with exemplary embodiments may cause a sleeker silhouette for the wearer. In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, collar options are versatile and may include a golf collar, a turtleneck, a hood, or other variations, catering to diverse stylistic preferences and other needs of the wearer. As used herein a golf or polo collar may be synonymous and may generally mean a design including a folded, flat-knit collar band. The golf or polo collar is associated with traditional golf attire. The golf collar may be seamlessly integrated into the garment. In some embodiments, the garment may include a buttoned placket, or the like. The design may not only enhance the overall appearance of the garment but also convey a sense of classic elegance.

In some embodiments, the sleeves or torso region of the shirt may comprise compression material. Compression material, as contemplated herein, may be designed to exert controlled pressure on a specific area of the body, such as the arms, neck, or torso, to enhance circulation and support musculature. Compression material may facilitate improved blood flow, reduce muscle vibration, and provide support during physical activities. Compression materials, including compression arm sleeves, may comprise elastic properties and may create a compression that promotes efficient circulation and aids in muscle recovery. Various embodiments of the present disclosure may utilize materials such as spandex, elastane, nylon, or a combination thereof, or the like, to achieve the desired compressive effect. Compression materials may improve targeted pressure application and versatility to improve performance across diverse user applications.

In some embodiments, a cutoff shirt may be constructed from a stretchable or form-fitting fabric to ensure a snug fit and sleek silhouette. Long sleeves of the garment may be designed to extend beyond the short sleeves of an outer T-shirt when worn together, creating a visually appealing layered effect and protection for the wearer's arms. The collar and sleeves may be integrated into the garment. In some embodiments, the sleeves may be long sleeves, short sleeves, or the garment may be sleeveless.

Embodiments of the present disclosure offer a multitude of advantages. A broad spectrum of individuals engaged in various outdoor activities, sports, and other endeavors may enjoy the benefits of these enhanced garments. Extended sleeves and collars in these designs may cater to diverse needs, providing added warmth, effective sun protection, increased resilience against abrasions, insect deterrence, and a range of other advantages. In exemplary embodiments, extended sleeves may bring valuable protection against the elements that may include the chill of cold weather and the impact of the sun's UV rays. These elongated sleeves may assist in preserving body warmth and may serve as protection against sunburn and insect bites, or the like. They may add an additional layer of safeguarding against minor abrasions.

A garment in accordance with exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure may include one or more sleeve types, including, for example, short sleeves, three-quarter sleeves, bell sleeves, flutter sleeves, cap sleeves, dolman sleeves, puff sleeves, bishop sleeves, kimono sleeves, raglan sleeves, lantern sleeves, batwing sleeves, cold-shoulder sleeves, slit sleeves, angel sleeves, trumpet sleeves, t-shirt sleeves, bishop sleeves, ruched sleeves, tiered sleeves, cuffed sleeves, cut-out sleeves, flared sleeves, scalloped sleeves, pleated sleeves, belled sleeves, roll-up sleeves, balloon sleeves, slouchy sleeves, and poet sleeves, to name a few. In some embodiments, a garment may be sleeveless.

The inclusion of collars as exemplified in embodiments of the present disclosure may bestow a multitude of advantages upon the wearer. For example, they may inject a sense of style into clothing, elevating the overall aesthetic of an outfit. The collar may serve as a safeguard and shield the wearer's neck from the sun's harmful UV rays, thereby decreasing the risk of sunburn and skin damage, or the like. Additionally, they may play a role in framing the wearer's face and delivering a polished appearance. When temperatures dip, some collars may offer an extra layer of warmth and wind protection, and some collars may be popped up to provide additional protection against gusty winds. Beyond their functional attributes, collars may act as a focal point for accessories like neckties, scarves, or bowties, enhancing the versatility of one's wardrobe. Unlike a complete extra layer of clothing, like a long sleeve t-shirt, golf shirt, or the like, covering the entire torso section of the wearer, garments in accordance with the present disclosure offer enhanced comfort, flexibility, and mobility for the wearer, and the like.

In some embodiments, a garment may feature an incorporated collar, which may be a golf collar, a polo collar, or the like. In some embodiments, a garment may include collars of varies types, including a point collar, a spread collar, a button-down collar, a club collar, a tab collar, a mandarin collar, a band collar, a sailor collar, a wingtip collar, a pin collar, a round collar, a Peter Pan collar, a ruffle collar, a shawl collar, turtleneck collar, a mock turtleneck collar, a banded collar, a grandad collar, a varsity collar, a cowboy collar, a Nehru collar, a convertible collar, a detachable collar, an interchangeable collar, a clerical collar, a stand-up collar, a peasant collar, an Eton collar, an overlapping collar, an asymmetrical collar, a hooded collar, a cowl neck collar, a bateau collar, a Henley collar, a roll collar, a ruched collar, a cascade collar, a draped collar, a kimono collar, a notched collar, an off-the-shoulder collar, an off-center collar, and a scrunch collar, or the like, to name a few. In some embodiments, a garment may include a collarless design. In accordance with exemplary embodiments, a collar may be disposed at a neck opening region of a garment, or the like.

In accordance with exemplary embodiments, the garment may be sized to enhance or improve athletic performance of the wearer. For example, a form-fitting or tight sleeve may improve athletic performance in various sports. A form-fitting torso region may also improve athletic performance. The sleeves and/or torso region of the garment may be sized and fit to improve athletic performance for different sports.

Embodiments of the present disclosure may improve athletic performance of the wearer through the design and customization of the garment. One aspect may include tailoring the garment to specific body regions, such as sleeves and the torso, with the aim of enhancing performance across a diverse range of sports. The incorporation of a form-fitting or snug sleeve may be a potential performance enhancer, applicable to various athletic activities. This snug fit can promote a heightened range of motion, providing athletes with the flexibility important in dynamic sports settings. A form-fitting torso region may also optimize athletic prowess in diverse sports. The customized sizing and fitting of sleeves and the torso region may allow for sport-specific tailoring.

For example, in golf, a tighter or form-fitting sleeve may be an enhancement to athletic performance. A snug sleeve design in this context may aim to contribute to an improved swing motion and overall comfort during play. This example underscores the adaptability of the garment, showcasing how it can be fine-tuned for the demands of different sports. Furthermore, the versatility of the garment may extend to activities where specific body movements occur, such as tennis, dancing, weightlifting, or the like. By considering the distinctive requirements of sports, a garment may be configured to provide targeted support and performance benefits. A garment consistent with the present disclosure may be a versatile and customizable solution for athletes seeking to optimize their performance in various athletic endeavors.

Beyond golf, the versatility of the garment may extend to cater to demands of a spectrum of sports. In activities like tennis, a form-fitting sleeve can contribute to an athlete's agility, facilitating swift and unrestricted arm movements crucial for powerful serves and precise shots. The tailored design may ensure that the garment neither hinders nor restricts the dynamic motions inherent in tennis gameplay, promoting a seamless integration of form and function. In weightlifting, the benefits of a customized fit are exemplified by the snug torso region of the garment. A tailored fit in this context provides helpful support to the core muscles, enhancing stability and reducing the risk of injury during lifts. The garment's adaptability to the specific needs of weightlifters underscores its potential as a performance-boosting accessory in strength-centric sports.

Furthermore, in sports like cycling, a garment with precision-sized sleeves and torso region may impact aerodynamics. The form-fitting design may reduce or minimize air resistance, promoting efficiency and speed. Cyclists can experience improved performance by reducing drag, resulting in enhanced overall competitiveness and endurance. The customization options provided by the garment extend to activities such as basketball, where a snug fit can aid in fluid and unencumbered movements, helpful for swift maneuvers, dribbling, and shooting. The dynamic nature of basketball gameplay is complemented by the tailored design, ensuring that the garment functions as a part of an athlete's performance strategy. The garment's adaptability to various sports is underlined by its capacity to enhance specific aspects of performance. Whether it be agility in golf or tennis, stability in weightlifting, aerodynamics in cycling, or maneuverability in basketball, the customized sizing and snug fit of the garment may improve athletic prowess across a diverse array of sporting activities. This combination of improved athletic performance, comfort, and protection from the sun and elements is a benefit of garments in accordance with the present disclosure.

In accordance with exemplary embodiments, a garment may include a distinct midsection cutoff design, not covering the wearer's entire torso and stomach region, and the like with a shirt. A garment's length may vary, extending to various locations on the wearer's torso. For example, a bottom edge of a garment might extend from 10% to 90% down the wearer's torso. In certain embodiments, the bottom edge of the garment may extend approximately 40% to 60% down the wearer's torso, or a similar proportion. In an example, the bottom edge may reach 50% of the wearer's torso area. This innovative design prioritizes wearer comfort and ventilation, a noticeable departure from long sleeve shirts that extend down the entire torso. In some embodiments, the garment may include multiple layers, such as an inner layer and an outer layer. In some embodiments, a garment may be designed as an undergarment attached to an outer shirt, such as a t-shirt, or the like. In some embodiments, a t-shirt may be worn over a garment with a midsection cutoff, or the like.

In accordance with exemplary embodiments, a garment may incorporate sleeves of selected lengths, such as long sleeves, extending from the shoulder region to provide comprehensive arm coverage. In some embodiments, the design may include arm sleeves that partially extend down the arm, such as a three-quarter length arm sleeve. In some embodiments, a long arm sleeve may extend from the garment's torso region to a portion of the wearer's arm to the wrist, or the like. In some embodiments, a sleeve design may provide complete coverage from the shoulder of the wearer to the wearer's wrist, or the like. In some embodiments, a sleeve may include a hole designed for the thumb of the wearer and may partially cover the wearer's hand. This sleeve may be referred to as a “thumbhole sleeve” or “thumbhole cuff” and may allow the sleeve to extend over the hand, providing partial coverage and creating a stylish and functional look, offering added warmth and ease of movement for the hands during various activities.

In some embodiments, a garment may be designed for user comfort. For example, a shirt in accordance with exemplary embodiments may include a form-fitting design for fitting underneath another shirt, such as a T-shirt, or the like. A garment may be designed for seamless layering of outer garments. A garment in accordance with exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure may be designed as an undershirt intended to be worn underneath another layer of clothing.

A garment in accordance with exemplary embodiments may be made of a comfortable material. In some embodiments, a garment may include breathable, stretchable, and/or moisture-wicking fabrics that may assist in managing sweat and moisture. This proactive moisture management ensures that users remain comfortable even during strenuous physical activities, reducing the unwelcome sensation of moisture against the skin. Wearers of a garment in accordance with exemplary embodiments may incorporate the garment into their outfits, maintaining a sleek appearance. In some embodiments, a garment may feature enhanced comfort and performance through the utilization of moisture-wicking and/or breathable materials, such as cotton, polyester, nylon, merino wool, silk, hemp, rayon, viscose, modal, microfiber, spandex, elastane, polypropylene, Gore-Tex®, Lycra®, Dri-FIT®, or the like. The garment may comprise UV-protective fabrics, or the like. UV-protective fabrics may include UPF treated fabrics, sun-protective fabrics, UV-resistant polyester, UV-resistant nylon, UV-blocking spandex, UV-resistant cotton, UV-blocking linen, UV-resistant bamboo, UV fabric, sun protection fabric, or the like, designed to offer protection against harmful UV radiation.

In some embodiments, a garment may include an interchangeable collar feature. This feature may allow the wearer to attach or detach an interchangeable collar using various fastening methods, such as snaps, buttons, hook and loop fasteners, clips, magnets, zippers, clasps, or the like. The interchangeable collar may be fastened to the shirt at the bottom of the collar so that it is attached to a neck opening portion of the shirt. This adaptability may enable the wearer to tailor the shirt's style and functionality to their specific preferences, making it suitable for a myriad of occasions and uses.

In some embodiments, to further cater to individual needs, the shirt may feature adjustable sleeve lengths, allowing users to customize their attire according to the prevailing conditions or personal preferences. The adjustable sleeve lengths may include sleeves that fold upward and attach to themselves, maintaining the fold of the sleeve so that a portion of the arm is uncovered. In some embodiments, the garment may include removable sleeves attachable to a trunk portion of the garment.

In some embodiments, a garment may be designed to be compatible with sports equipment to improve the experience of athletes across various disciplines. Whether worn under football shoulder pads, lacrosse shoulder pads, hockey shoulder pads, or other sports gear, the garment may be designed to ensure a comfortable fit. In some embodiments, the garment may include additional padding or cushioning in the areas underneath the sports equipment, including shoulder pads, or the like. In some embodiments, the garment may be customized for men or women. For example, a women's version of the shirt offers additional customization options, allowing wearers to select torso sizes that best suit their body dimensions and preferences.

In some embodiments, a midsection cutoff design may ensure a cooler and more comfortable experience compared to arm sleeves and full long-sleeve shirts. Embodiments of the present disclosure may also assist in enhancing style options available for users. The garment may allow individuals to effortlessly transform any regular t-shirt into a collared shirt, which has many benefits. A garment in accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure may be worn as an undergarment under any t-shirt, with the collar of the undergarment extending through the neck hole opening of the t-shirt and the long sleeves of the undergarment extending through the short sleeve holes of the t-shirt, or the like. For example, the garment may ensure compliance with dress code requirements for various activities or venues that require a collar. This adaptability is especially valuable for golfers and others who need to meet specific attire regulations. In contrast to separate arm sleeves, which are often associated with discomfort, embodiments of the present disclosure may eliminate common discomforts. Arm sleeves can be bulky, prone to slipping or rolling, fastened with potentially irritating mechanisms. An undergarment with a collar and long sleeves that is cutoff or extends only to a portion of the way down the wearer's torso and stops above the area of the location of the navel in most wearers, may address discomforts by providing a sleek, comfortable, and versatile solution.
