Claims
- 1. An image forming device comprising:(a) a photoconductive member; (b) exposing apparatus for exposing the photoconductive member; and, (c) control apparatus configured to control the exposing apparatus such that during image processing of a first color plane in a multi color plane image processing cycle, the photoconductive member is exposed to a first under exposed state for image data that specifies no color to be developed on the first color plane but that specifies a color to be developed on at least a second color plane in the multi color plane image processing cycle, and wherein the first under exposed state does not enable and is not leveraged to enable image development at any time during the multi color plane image processing cycle.
- 2. The image forming device of claim 1 wherein the image data is defined at a pixel level or greater for the imaging device.
- 3. The image forming device of claim 1 wherein the exposing to the first under exposed state occurs relative to a development threshold for the image processing of the first color plane.
- 4. The image forming device of claim 1 wherein the control apparatus is configured to control exposing to the first under exposed state using a halftone screen having a pixel exposure frequency that is less than or equal to a maximum frequency halftone screen and greater than a stable frequency halftone screen for image development.
- 5. The image forming device of claim 1 wherein the control apparatus includes a color conversion table for converting image data defined in a first color space to resultant image data defined in a second color space, and wherein the resultant image data includes values indicative of controlling the exposing apparatus such that the photoconductive member is exposed to the first under exposed state during processing of the first color plane where the resultant image data specifies no color to be developed on the first color plane.
- 6. The image forming device of claim 1 wherein the control apparatus includes circuitry formed to process image data defined in a first color space for controlling the exposing apparatus such that the photoconductive member is exposed to the first under exposed state during processing of the first color plane where the image data defined in the first color space specifies no color to be developed on the first color plane.
- 7. An image forming device comprising:(a) a print engine having a photoconductive member; (b) charge modification apparatus configured to modify an electrostatic charge of the photoconductive member; and, (c) control apparatus configured to control the charge modification apparatus such that, during image processing of a first color plane in a multi color plane image processing cycle of the print engine, a charge of the photoconductive member is modified to a first charged state for image data that specifies no color to be developed on a given color plane in the multi color plane image processing cycle but that specifies a color to be developed on at least a separate color plane in the multi color plane image processing cycle, and wherein the first charged state does not enable and is not leveraged to enable image development at any time during the multi color plane image processing cycle.
- 8. The image forming device of claim 7 wherein the charge modification apparatus includes a light source.
- 9. The image forming device of claim 7 wherein the first charged state occurs relative to a development threshold for the image processing of the first color plane.
- 10. The image forming device of claim 7 wherein the first charged state is achieved in association with a halftone screen having a pixel exposure frequency that is less than or equal to a maximum frequency halftone screen and greater than a stable frequency halftone screen for image development.
- 11. The image forming device of claim 7 wherein the first charged state is achieved in association with a color conversion table configured to convert image data defined in a first color space to resultant image data defined in a second color space, and wherein the resultant image data includes values indicative of controlling the charge modification apparatus such that the charge of the photoconductive member is modified to the first charged state during processing of the first color plane where the resultant image data specifies no color to be developed on the first color plane.
- 12. An imaging device, comprising:(a) a print engine having a photoconductive member; and, (b) charge modification components configured to: (i) modify an electrostatic charge of the photoconductive member to a first charged state to generate a first object on the photoconductive member during processing of a first color plane in a multi color plane image processing cycle, the first color plane used in forming a color associated with the first object; and, (ii) modify an electrostatic charge of the photoconductive member to a second charged state for a second object adjacent to the first object during processing of the first color plane, wherein the first color plane is not used in forming a color associated with the second object, and wherein the second charged state does not enable and is not leveraged to enable image development at any time during the multi color plane image processing cycle.
- 13. A computer readable medium having data or computer executable instructions configured to control image processing in an imaging device, including the steps of, enabling a charge modification of a photoconductive member to a first charged state for image data that specifies no color to be developed on a first color plane during image processing of the first color plane in a multi color plane image processing cycle of the imaging device, wherein the image data specifies a color to be developed on at least a second color plane in the multi color plane image processing cycle, and wherein the first charged state does not enable and is not leveraged to enable image development at any time during the multi color plane image processing cycle.
