Claims
- 1. A portable sink that can double as an ice chest, comprising:
a body portion having side walls and a floor; a lid portion pivotally connected to said body portion, said lid portion being capable of being moved from a closed position to an open position and vice verse; an opening through which a hose can be extended located on an edge portion of said lid portion, such that with said lid portion in said open position, said hose can be extended through said opening and into said body portion, and with said lid portion in said closed position, said hose cannot be extended into said body portion; a support assembly on said lid portion for supporting a detachable faucet assembly thereon; and a drain on said body portion through which water can flow out.
- 2. The sink of claim 1, wherein said faucet assembly has an insert portion that can be inserted into a cavity located on said support assembly.
- 3. The sink of claim 1, wherein said faucet assembly has an attachment section for connecting to said hose.
- 4. The sink of claim 1, wherein said lid portion is provided with a stop connected to said body portion for limiting the opening movement of said lid portion.
- 5. The sink of claim 1, wherein said body portion has extending therefrom multiple legs for supporting said sink in an upright position.
- 6. The sink of claim 5, wherein said legs are hinged so that they can be moved between an upward tucked position under said floor and a lower extended position which allows said body portion to be in said upright position.
- 7. The sink of claim 6, wherein four legs are provided, with one pair of legs on each side, wherein one pair of legs on one side is offset from the other pair of legs on the other side, such that all four legs can be overlapped and tucked relatively tightly under said floor.
- 8. The sink of claim 7, wherein a crossbar is provided that extends between each pair of said legs, said crossbars being capable of sliding up and down along said legs, wherein said crossbars provide rigidity to said legs when said crossbars are lowered to a lower position.
- 9. The sink of claim 1, wherein a hanging assembly is provided under said floor below said drain, said hanging assembly being adapted to support one or more auxiliary items thereon.
- 10. The sink of claim 9, wherein said one or more auxiliary items comprises a funnel capable of having a second hose connected thereto for directing water flowing out of said drain in a predetermined direction.
- 11. The sink of claim 10, wherein said one or more auxiliary items comprises a funnel adapted to have a strainer inserted therein.
- 12. The sink of claim 1, wherein one or two fold-out panels are provided which can be extended substantially horizontally in an outward open position.
- 13. The sink of claim 12, wherein said panels are supported by handles extending from said body portion which are adapted to be locked into cut-outs located on said panels.
- 14. A portable sink, comprising:
a body portion having side walls and a floor, wherein at least one handle is provided thereon; a lid portion pivotally connected to said body portion, said lid portion being capable of being moved from a closed position to an open position and vice verse; at least one fold-down panel located on one or more walls of said side walls, wherein when said at least one panel is extended to an open position, it can be supported by said at least one handle, and when said at least one panel is in a closed position, it is positioned on said body portion.
- 15. The sink of claim 14, wherein a notch is provided on each of said at least one fold-down panels in which one of said at least one handle can be inserted when said at least one fold-down panel is in said open position, to maintain said at least one fold-down panel in a substantially horizontal position.
- 16. The sink of claim 15, wherein said at least one handle is capable of being pivoted from a lower position to an upper position, and vice verse, wherein said at least one handle can provide support for said at least one panel in said open position when said at least one handle is in said upper position.
- 17. The sink of claim 14, wherein said at least one panel comprises a cutting board, and has at least one opening for supporting at least one utensil thereon.
- 18. The sink of claim 14, wherein said lid portion can be substantially sealed onto said body portion with said at least one panel in said closed position.
- 19. A portable sink that can double as an ice chest, comprising:
a body portion having side walls and a floor, wherein said body portion is made using double wall construction; a lid portion pivotally connected to said body portion, said lid portion being capable of being moved from a closed position to an open position and vice verse; a support assembly for enabling a hose and faucet assembly with a valve to be operatively connected thereto, wherein said faucet assembly can be used to supply water from said hose into said body portion; and a drain on said body portion through which water can flow out, said drain being 5 inches or more in diameter for enabling fish and game parts to be drained therethrough, wherein said drain is adapted such that a strainer and/or funnel assembly capable of having a second hose connected thereto for directing water flowing out of said drain in a predetermined direction can be operatively connected to said drain.
- 20. The sink of claim 19, wherein said strainer and/or funnel comprises a funnel capable of having a strainer inserted therein.
