Abstract
A combination packaging includes an inner packaging having first side walls, which can be erected from a flat into an erected state, and an outer packaging having second side walls, which can be erected from a flat state into an erected state. The outer packaging has at least one closable lid and one closable bottom, which are articulated to the second side walls and can be folded in into a closed state. The inner and outer packaging are arranged such that they can be jointly transferred into the erected state. The outer packaging, in the erected and closed state thereof, encloses the inner packaging. At least one connecting element connects the inner packaging to the outer packaging, the connecting element having a predetermined breaking point arranged such that erecting of the combination packaging, closing of the inner packaging, or opening of the outer packaging severs the predetermined breaking point.
Description

The invention relates to combination packaging comprising outer packaging and inner packaging arranged therein, and to a method for producing packaging of this kind.


Owing to the wide range of possibilities and advantages of e-commerce, such as ease of ordering, quick delivery, a high degree of comfort, and ever lower shipping costs, individual products are ever more frequently ordered, purchased, and shipped individually. The products are usually arranged in primary packaging or inner packaging and, in order to be transported to the end customer, have to be inserted into further secondary packaging or outer packaging. Providing outer packaging of this kind, in particular the work step of additionally packing the product already packaged into the outer packaging, requires time and money. Owing to the logistical restrictions at mail-order companies, individual products are in addition often shipped in outer packaging that is far too large. This results in high transport, storage and packaging costs, as well as high volumes of waste which, on ecological grounds, should be prevented. Since the end consumer's expectations regarding the design of the primary packaging are increasing at the same time, the primary packaging cannot be used directly for shipping. Owing to the design thereof, said primary packaging is often not suitable for shipping at all, may suffer damage to the printed image as a result of shipping, or such damage may even arise during shipping, which damage also affects the package product. Furthermore, the product specifications on the primary packaging mean that neutral shipping is not ensured. The object of the invention is therefore that of providing packaging, and a production method therefor, which overcomes the above-mentioned disadvantages.


The object is achieved by combination packaging that comprises inner packaging and outer packaging. The inner packaging comprises a plurality of first side walls, which inner packaging can be erected, from a flat state in which the first side walls are arranged so as to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state in which the first side walls form an acute, right or obtuse angle to one another. For this purpose, the side walls can be hinged to one another, for example in a row. The inner packaging can additionally comprise a base and a cover, or only a cover or a base, and can be designed so as to be open to one side. The inner packaging expediently consists of a blank that is formed in one piece. However, it is also possible to form the inner packaging from a plurality of blanks which are interconnected.


The outer packaging comprises a plurality of side walls, which outer packaging can be erected from a flat state in which the second side walls are arranged so as to be substantially in parallel with one another into an erected state in which the side walls form an acute, right or obtuse angle to one another. For this purpose, the second side walls can also be hinged to one another, for example in a row. The outer packaging furthermore comprises a closeable cover and a closeable base which can be hinged on opposite sides of the second side walls and can be folded into a closed state for the purpose of closing the outer packaging. The outer packaging expediently consists of a blank that is formed in one piece. However, it is also possible to form the outer packaging from a plurality of blanks which are interconnected. The designation of the individual walls of the packaging as side walls, base or cover is not to be considered limiting. Thus, for example, a wall designated herein as a side wall may, in a corresponding orientation of the packaging, be located at the bottom, as a base, or be located at the top, as a cover. It is also possible for a plurality of walls that are designated herein, in each case, as side walls, and some of which are dependent on the orientation of the packaging, to form a base at the bottom and a cover at the top, while other side walls are actually arranged at the side of the packaging.


The inner packaging and outer packaging can be produced from a foldable material such as paper, cardboard, boxboard or corrugated board. In this case, the inner packaging and the outer packaging can consist of different materials, in order to fulfill various demands on strength, stability against outside influences, malleability, design and the like. The inner packaging is thus provided for example with a printable or printed outer surface. In principle, however, it is also possible for the inner packaging and the outer packaging to consist of the same materials.


In the flat state, the blank of the inner packaging is arranged on the blank of the outer packaging such that the inner packaging and the outer packaging can be transferred together from the flat state into the erected state. For this purpose, the first side walls of the inner packaging can substantially adjoin the second side walls of the outer packaging, the hinge points between the first side walls being arranged on the hinge points between the second side walls, in a congruent manner. Since the inner packaging generally has a slightly smaller periphery than the outer packaging, there is, however, a slight offset between the respective hinge points. In particular, the blanks of the inner packaging and the outer packaging lying on top of one another can also be folded such that the inner packaging is arranged substantially within the outer packaging. In particular, the blanks of the inner packaging or the outer packaging are already interconnected in the flat state, for example by means of at least one adhesive bond. The combination packaging comprising the inner packaging and the outer packaging can therefore be transported or stored completely in the flat state, in a space-saving manner, and for the purpose of filling can be transferred, by a common work step, into the erected state, in which both the inner packaging and the outer packaging are erected.


In the erected state and when the cover and base of the outer packaging are closed, the inner packaging is enclosed substantially from all sides by the outer packaging, in particular by the side walls, cover and base thereof. As a result, the outer packaging protects the inner packaging, together with the product located therein, and can be used for transporting the product in the inner packaging. In this case, the outer packaging can completely surround the inner packaging, such that the inner packaging is no longer visible from the outside. As a result, neutral shipping of the products can be ensured even if, as is typically the case, the inner packaging contains information relating to the product contained.


The outer packaging can, however, also comprise a viewing window, for example in one of the side walls, the cover and/or the base. The inner packaging is still visible, from the outside, through a viewing window of this kind, in order that the product can still be identified from the outside. In this case, however, it is necessary for the inner packaging to still be enclosed substantially from all sides. Therefore, the size of the viewing window is less than 25%, preferably less than 15%, particularly preferably less than 5% of the surface area of the relevant side wall, cover or base in which the viewing window is arranged.


The inner packaging and the outer packaging can be closed independently of one another, since these are each designed as independent packaging.


Furthermore, the combination packaging comprises a connecting element which connects the inner packaging to the outer packaging in a flat state. The connecting element ensures that, in the flat state, the inner packaging does not fall out of or down from the outer packaging, and thus have to be reinserted into the outer packaging or connected thereto before filling. This also prevents the inner packaging and the outer packaging from slipping against one another, in the flat state, during storage and transport of the combination packaging. This ensures that, when packaging a product, the combination packaging, having the combined inner packaging and outer packaging, can be erected in a common work step. All known connection means, such as glue or clips, can be used as the connecting element. The combination packaging can also comprise a plurality of connecting elements which interconnect the inner packaging and the outer packaging at a plurality of points. The number of connecting points can be selected depending on the packaging type and the construction of the outer packaging and the inner packaging.


The connecting element comprises a predetermined breaking point which is arranged such that the predetermined breaking point is separated, and thus the inner packaging is separated from the outer packaging, by erecting the combination packaging from the flat state into the erected state, or by closing the inner packaging, or by opening the outer packaging. Following separation, an interface between the inner packaging and outer packaging is clearly identifiable. Since the outer packaging is typically disposed of by the end consumer, whereas the end consumer keeps the inner packaging, it is necessary to separate the connection between the inner packaging and outer packaging again. Separating the packaging can ensure simple removal of the inner packaging. It is necessary to prevent, however, that a complicated work step should be required for the separation. This would lead to an additional time outlay and thus increased costs for the manufacturer. Should a step of this kind be performed only by the end user, this results in additional work for the user who, however, should have a positive experience when unpacking the product, and therefore should not be confronted with work steps of this kind. As a result of the combination packaging according to the invention, the separation of the inner packaging from the outer packaging has already been achieved, at the latest following opening of the combination packaging, without the end user having to apply an additional work step for separating the inner packaging from the outer packaging.


In the first possible embodiment, the predetermined breaking point is arranged such that the separation is achieved by the step of erecting the combination packaging. Since, owing to the finite thickness of the packaging, the outer packaging, when erected, has a larger periphery than the inner packaging, a relative shift of the inner packaging with respect to the outer packaging occurs at at least one point, upon erection. If the predetermined breaking point is arranged at such a point, between the inner packaging and the outer packaging, the predetermined breaking point is separated by the relative movement.


It may also be possible, upon erection of the combination packaging, for the cover and/or the base of the outer packaging to be folded outwards, in order, for example, to facilitate filling of the combination packaging by means of a funnel-like arrangement of the cover tabs. The predetermined breaking point can then also be arranged such that the predetermined breaking point is separated by means of the cover and/or the base being folded outwards. In this case, the separation can be achieved for example by overstretching glued tabs or by breaking perforations.


In the second possibility, the predetermined breaking point is arranged such that the separation is achieved by closing the inner packaging. Since both the inner packaging and the outer packaging have to be closed before the product can be shipped in the packaging, no additional work step is required for separating the inner packaging from the outer packaging. The separation takes place in the step, performed anyway, for closing the packaging.


As a third possibility, the predetermined breaking point is arranged such that the separation of the inner packaging and outer packaging is achieved by opening the outer packaging. This step must in any case be carried out by the recipient of the packaging, i.e. for example the end customer. Thus, in this case too, there is no additional work step for the end customer.


In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the predetermined breaking point of the connecting element can comprise a separable adhesive bond. In this embodiment, no particular changes need to be made to the blanks for the inner packaging and the outer packaging. When the inner packaging is adhesively bonded to the outer packaging, for example a glue trace can be applied, for the purpose of connection, between the inner packaging and outer packaging. This separable adhesive bond can be separated again by simple action of force. It is thus possible for the separable adhesive connection to be separated for example by the end consumer closing the inner packaging or opening the outer packaging. The separable adhesive connection thus functions as a connecting element for rigidly connecting the inner packaging to the outer packaging, and at the same time as a predetermined breaking point which can be separated by closing or opening. In this case, depending on the strength of the cohesive forces and adhesive forces, the separation can take place within the adhesive bond, or directly at the contact point of the glue used with the inner packaging or the outer packaging. The separation can also take place by means of fiber fraying in the foldable material of the inner packaging or the outer packaging. Following separation of the adhesive bond, adhesive residue or fiber fraying at the connection point remains as a visible interface.


In a further embodiment of the invention, the predetermined breaking point of the connecting element can comprise a perforation. A perforation is made in the material of the connecting element, for example by means of small cuts or holes, as a result of which the material can be ripped open or separated at this point with reduced force application. The perforation can be arranged on the inner packaging or the outer packaging, or on both packagings.


In a preferred embodiment, the inner packaging can comprise a closeable cover and/or a closeable base. A cover or base of this kind comprises at least one tab which is hinged to a first side wall of the inner packaging. In order to close said inner packaging, said tab of the cover or of the base is folded in in a closed state, in that an opening or an open side of the inner packaging is closed at least in part. In this embodiment, the connecting element can connect the tab of the inner packaging with the outer packaging, such that folding in of the tab in the closed state brings about separation of the tab from the outer packaging. For this purpose, in particular the predetermined breaking point can be arranged so as to be spaced apart from the hinge point between the tab and the first side wall. This results in the tab being folded in along the hinge point, in a relative movement of the predetermined breaking point with respect to the outer packaging, as a result of which this is separated. The tab of the cover or base then remains on the inner packaging and is separated from the outer packaging. It is therefore possible for the inner packaging to be closed, after the inner packaging has been filled with the product, in that the cover or the base is folded into a closed state. This step, to be performed during packaging of the product, already achieves the separation of the inner packaging from the outer packaging. Therefore, no additional step for separating the inner packaging from the outer packaging is required.


In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the connecting element connects the tab of the cover or of the base of the inner packaging to the cover or base of the outer packaging.


In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connecting element comprises an adhesive tab which is integrally connected to the tab and is separably connected to the tab by means of a perforation, the adhesive tab being adhesively bonded to the outer packaging. In an embodiment of this kind, the perforation between the tab and adhesive tab is separated by folding in of the tab in the closed state, since the adhesive tab is retained on the outer packaging by means of the adhesive bond. Alternatively, the perforation can be broken by folding the tab outwards. Therefore, after the tab has been folded in, in the closed state, or the tab has been folded out, the adhesive tab remains, on the outer packaging, as a visible interface between the inner packaging and the outer packaging.


In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the connecting element can comprise an adhesive tab which is integrally connected to the cover or the base of the outer packaging, this being connected to the cover or the base so as to be separable by means of a perforation. In this embodiment, the adhesive tab is adhesively bonded to the inner packaging. As a result, following separation at the perforation the adhesive tab remains on the inner packaging.


In a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is furthermore possible for an opening element to be provided which is used for opening the outer packaging. In this embodiment, the connecting element is arranged such that the opening element of the outer packaging is connected to the inner packaging by the connecting element. As a result, when the outer packaging is opened by means of the opening element, the opening element is separated from the inner packaging. As a result, a connection between the inner packaging and outer packaging remains until the outer packaging is opened. This results in increased stability of the combination packaging, in particular during the entire filling process and during transport following filling. In this embodiment, too, the end consumer does not have to perform any additional work step in order to separate the inner packaging from the outer packaging.


In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the opening element is a tear-off strip, an adhesive strip that can be removed and/or severed, and/or a perforation. Opening elements of this kind can be produced in a particularly cost-effective manner, and are easy to use by the end consumer.


In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the opening element is arranged around the periphery, on the outer packaging, such that this is divided into two separate parts by opening the opening element, which parts can be removed from the inner packaging in the manner of a sliding box. A sliding box of this kind can be removed from the inner packaging particularly easily and, in the case of a return, can simply be pushed over the inner packaging again, to allow for reshipping.


The invention furthermore relates to a production method for combination packaging described above. Said method comprises the following steps:

    • Providing a blank for inner packaging, comprising a plurality of first side walls, which inner packaging can be erected, from a flat state in which the first side walls are arranged so as to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state in which the first side walls form an acute, right or obtuse angle to one another.
    • Providing a blank for outer packaging, comprising a plurality of second side walls, which outer packaging can be erected, from a flat state in which the second side walls are arranged so as to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state in which the second side walls form an acute, right or obtuse angle to one another, the blank for the outer packaging comprising at least one closeable cover and a closeable base which are hinged to the second side walls.
    • Connecting the inner packaging to the outer packaging at a connecting point by means of a connecting element having a predetermined breaking point, such that the inner packaging and the outer packaging can be transferred, together, from the flat state into the erected state, the outer packaging surrounding the inner packaging substantially from all sides in the erected, closed state, and the predetermined breaking point of the connecting element being arranged such that the predetermined breaking point is separated, and thus the inner packaging is separated from the outer packaging, by erecting the combination packaging from the flat state into the erected state, or by closing the inner packaging, or by opening the outer packaging.


The inner packaging and outer packaging can be folded into one another following connection. In this case, further connections can be established both on the inner packaging and the outer packaging. In particular, associated side walls of the inner packaging can be interconnected, for example adhesively bonded. Likewise, associated side walls of the outer packaging can be interconnected, for example adhesively bonded. As a result, the inner packaging can be arranged inside the outer packaging such that the inner packaging and the outer packaging can be transferred together from the flat state into the erected state.

In this case, the present invention relates to all the features described and/or illustrated, individually or in any desired combination, in each case, also independently of the summary thereof in the claims and the dependency references thereof.

The combination packaging 1 in FIGS. 1 to 4 will be described in the following on the basis of the production steps of the combination packaging 1. FIG. 1 shows the two main components of the combination packaging 1, specifically a blank for the outer packaging 2 and the inner packaging 3. The inner packaging can be produced from aesthetically attractive cardboard, whereas the outer packaging can be manufactured from a stable corrugated board. The outer packaging 2 comprises four side walls 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d that are hinged together in a row and which can be folded at the connection points. A cover 5 is hinged on at a first free side of the side walls 4a to 4d, which cover consists of four tabs 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d. A base 6 is arranged on the side of the side walls 4a to 4d opposite the cover, which base consists of four tabs 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d. Furthermore, a first adhesive tab 7 is arranged on the side wall 4d, in order to be able to connect the side wall 4d to the side wall 4a. The outer packaging 2 furthermore comprises a tear-off perforation 8 which extends transversely through the entire outer packaging 2, over the side walls 4a to 4d. It is alternatively possible for a tear-off strip to be used instead of the tear-off perforation. In this case, the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2 have the same number of side walls 4a-d, 9a-d, which are substantially the same width in each case, in pairs.


The inner packaging 3 is designed in a similar manner. Said inner packaging comprises four side walls 9a, 9b, 9c, 9d, which are hinged to one another in a row. An adhesive tab 15 is arranged on the side wall 9a, in order to be able to connect the side wall 9a to the side wall 9d. A cover 10 is arranged on a first free side of the side walls 9a to 9d, which cover consists of three tabs 10a, 10c, 10d. A base 11 is arranged on the side of the side walls 9a to 9d opposite the cover, which base consists of the tabs 11a, 11c, 11d. The base tab 11d and the cover tab 10d each comprise a tuck-in tab 12 in order to be able to close the cover 10 or the base 11. A connecting element 13 is arranged on the cover part 10c by means of a predetermined breaking point 14. A connecting element 13 is likewise arranged on the base part 11c by means of a predetermined breaking point 14. The predetermined breaking points 14 are in each case formed as a perforation along a curved line.



FIG. 2 shows the combination packaging 1 after the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2 have been interconnected. For this purpose, an adhesive, for example a hot melt, has been applied to a region of the cover tab 5c and the base tab 6c. The adhesive has been applied in each case only on the region of the cover tab 5c and the base tab 6c which is opposite the connecting element 13 in the state, shown in FIG. 2, in which the blanks for the outer packaging 2 and the inner packaging 3 are laid on top of one another. Alternatively, the adhesive can be applied to the connecting element 13 or to both parts. As a result, the connecting element 13 on the cover tab 10c and the connecting element 13 on the base tab 11c is adhesively bonded to the cover tab 5c and the base tab 6c, respectively, there being no direct adhesion between the cover tab 10c and cover tab 5c, and no direct adhesion between the base tab 11c and the base tab 6c. The connection is achieved in that the inner packaging 3 is laid on the outer packaging 2 so as to be substantially in parallel. In this case, the first side walls 9a-d and second side walls 4a-d, in each case, rest on one another so as to be of substantially the same width. The hinge points between the first side walls 9a-d rest in a substantially congruent manner on the hinge points between the second side walls 4a-d. Since the inner packaging 3 has a smaller periphery than the outer packaging 2, an offset results between the hinge points, on the order of magnitude of the thickness of the side walls 4a-d, 9a-d.


Furthermore, an adhesive strip 16 comprising a protective film has been applied to the cover tab 5b, which strip can be used for subsequent closure of the outer packaging. For the purpose of adhesive bonding using the adhesive strip 16, the protective film can be removed. The outer packaging can also be closed by means of an adhesive tape or other known connecting means.



FIG. 3 shows the combination packaging 1 following a first folding step. In this case, the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2 have been folded, together, inwards, along a folding edge between the side walls 4a, 4b or 9a, 9b, such that, on the folding edge, the folded inner packaging 3 is arranged inside the outer packaging 2. A strip of glue 17 is applied on the second adhesive tab 15 of the inner packaging 3. Likewise, a further strip of glue 18 is applied to the first adhesive tab of the outer packaging.



FIG. 4 shows the combination packaging 1 following a second folding step. In this case, the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2 have been folded, together, along a folding edge which interconnects the side walls 4c and 4d or 9c and 9d. As a result, the side wall 9d has been folded onto the adhesive tab 15 having the strip of glue 17, such that the side wall 9d is connected to the side wall 9a. Furthermore, the adhesive tab 7 having the strip of glue 18 has been folded onto the side wall 4a, such that the side wall 4a is connected to the side wall 4d. In this state, the combination packaging can be stored in a space-saving manner, or can be transported for the purpose of producing and shipping products. The combination packaging 1 can then be transferred on-site into the erected state in a simple work step, directly prior to filling. The adhesion according to the invention prevents the inner packaging from slipping or falling out.



FIG. 5 shows the combination packaging 1 in an erected state. For this purpose, the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2 have been folded, together, along the connection points of the relevant side walls, such that the side walls 4a to 4d and 9a to 9d are arranged so as to be substantially perpendicular to one another. In the drawing shown in FIG. 5, the base 11 of the inner packaging 3 and the base 6 of the outer packaging 2 have already been closed. The cover 5 of the outer packaging 2 and the cover 10 of the inner packaging 3 are still in a non-closed state. The tab 10c of the cover 10 is connected to the tab 5c of the cover 5 of the outer packaging 2 by means of the connecting element 13.



FIG. 6 shows combination packaging 1 in the erected state, in which two tabs 10a, 10c of the cover 10 of the inner packaging 3 have already been folded into the closed state. Folding the tab 10c outwards has broken the tab 10c at the perforation 14, and therefore separated it from the connecting element 13. Separating the tab 10c from the connecting element 13 has separated the connection between the tab 10c and the tab 5c, and therefore also the connection between the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2.



FIG. 7 shows the combination packaging 1 in a state in which the inner packaging 3 is completely closed. In this state, the inner packaging 3 is now arranged only loosely in the outer packaging 2, since there is no longer any rigid connection between the inner packaging 3 and the outer packaging 2.



FIG. 8 shows an alternative embodiment of the combination packaging 1. An adhesive line 13 is arranged, as a connecting element, between the cover tab 5c of the outer packaging 2 and the cover tab 10c of the inner packaging 3, in order to adhesively bond the cover tab 5c to the cover 10c. The adhesive line 13 forms a separable adhesive connection and thus also functions as a predetermined breaking point 14. When the cover tab 10c is folded in, the separable adhesive connection 13, 14 is separated. FIG. 8 shows the state of the combination packaging 1 in which the cover tab 10c is already folded in and the separable adhesive connection 13, 14 has already been separated. Fiber fraying remains at the connection points, as a visible interface.



FIG. 9 shows a further alternative embodiment, in which the connecting element 13 comprises an adhesive tab which is formed as a circular adhesive cut-out. In particular, a perforation 14 is located on the cover tab 5c of the outer packaging 2, which perforation defines the circular adhesive cut-out 13. The adhesive cut-out 13 is adhesively bonded to the cover tab 10c of the inner packaging 3. When the cover tab 10c is folded in, in the closed state, the adhesive cut-out 13 is separated from the cover tab 5c along the perforation 14. As a result, a circular cut-out remains in the cover tab 5c, the released element remaining on the cover tab 10c of the inner packaging 3.



FIG. 10 shows an embodiment of the combination packaging 1 in which the connecting element is arranged on the tear-off perforation, which is provided as an opening element on the outer packaging 2. When the combination packaging 1 is opened, by pulling on the tear-off perforation 8, the tear-off perforation 8 is released from the outer packaging 2. Since the connecting element 13 comprising the predetermined breaking point 14 is arranged between the tear-off perforation 8 of the outer packaging 2 and the inner packaging 3, releasing the tear-off perforation 8 releases the connection between the outer packaging 2 and the inner packaging 3.



FIG. 11 shows an embodiment of the combination packaging 1 in which the outer packaging 2 has already been opened, by means of a tear-off element 8. The tear-off element 8 extends around the entire periphery of the outer packaging 2, such that the outer packaging 2 is separated into two parts. The outer packaging 2 can therefore be opened in the form of a sliding box. A first part of the outer packaging 2 has already been removed from the inner packaging 3.



FIG. 12 shows the embodiment from FIG. 11, designed as a sliding box, in which the inner packaging 3 has been pushed fully out of the outer packaging 2.



FIG. 13 shows an embodiment of the combination packaging 1 in which the connecting element 13 comprising the predetermined breaking point 14 is arranged such that it is separated upon erection of the combination packaging 1 from the flat state into the erected state. The connecting element 13, 14 shown in FIG. 13 is arranged on the inner packaging 3, and is therefore drawn in only by way of illustration, since it is not visible from the outside. The connecting element 13, 14 comprises a cut-out in the inner packaging 3, in which a slide element 13 is arranged. The slide element 13 is fixed to the inner packaging 3 on the left and right, by means of two perforations 14. The slide element 13 is furthermore fixed to the outer packaging 2 by means of an adhesive connection. Upon erection of the combination packaging 1, a relative displacement of the second side wall 4c with respect to the first side wall 9c takes place. For this purpose, the slide element 13 can move along the arrow direction shown. In this case, the perforations 14 break, as a result of which the inner packaging 3 is separated from the outer packaging 2. The slide element 13 then remains on the outer packaging 2, and a hole thus results in the inner packaging 3.



FIG. 14 shows an embodiment of the invention in which the inner packaging 3 comprises merely a base 11 and is designed so as to be open on the side shown. The connecting element 13, 14 can then be arranged, for example, on the opposite side, on the base 11 of the inner packaging 3.


The combination packaging according to the invention thus simultaneously forms primary packaging and transport packaging, and thus allows for a product to be transported to the client in a well-protected manner, and at the same time to draw attention, in the inside, to the primary packaging, in a market-relevant manner.

Claims
  • 1. Combination packaging, comprising: inner packaging, comprising a plurality of first side walls, wherein the inner packaging can be erected from a flat state, in which the first side walls are arranged to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state, in which the first side walls form an acute, right, or obtuse angle to one another; andouter packaging, comprising a plurality of second side walls, wherein the outer packaging can be erected from a flat state, in which the second side walls are arranged to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state, in which the second side walls form an acute, right, or obtuse angle to one another;wherein the outer packaging further comprises at least one closeable cover and a closeable base that are hinged on the second side walls and can be folded into a closed state for the purpose of closing the outer packaging;wherein the inner packaging and the outer packaging are arranged on top of one another, such that the inner packaging and the outer packaging can be transferred together from the flat state into the erected state,wherein the outer packaging surrounds the inner packaging substantially from all sides in the erected and closed state thereof,wherein at least one connecting element is provided which, in the flat state of the combination packaging, rigidly connects the inner packaging to the outer packaging, andwherein the at least one connecting element comprises at least one predetermined breaking point that is arranged such that the at least one predetermined breaking point is separated either by erecting the combination packaging from the flat state into the erected state, by closing the inner packaging, or by opening the outer packaging.
  • 2. The combination packaging according to claim 1, wherein the at least one predetermined breaking point of the connecting element comprises a separable adhesive connection.
  • 3. The combination packaging according to claim 1, wherein the at least one predetermined breaking point of the connecting element comprises a perforation.
  • 4. The combination packaging according to claim 1, wherein the inner packaging further comprises a closeable cover and/or a closeable base comprising at least one tab which that is hinged to a first side wall and can be folded into a closed state in order to close the inner packaging, and wherein the connecting element connects the tab to the outer packaging, such that folding in of the tab in the closed state brings about separation of the tab from the outer packaging.
  • 5. The combination packaging according to claim 4, wherein the connecting element connects the tab to the cover and/or base of the outer packaging.
  • 6. The combination packaging according to claim 4, wherein the connecting element comprises an adhesive tab that is integrally connected to the tab and is separably connected to the tab by means of a perforation, the adhesive tab being adhesively connected to the outer packaging.
  • 7. The combination packaging according to claim 1, wherein the connecting element comprises an adhesive tab that is integrally connected to the cover or the base of the outer packaging, and that is separably connected to the cover or to the base by means of a perforation, the adhesive tab being adhesively connected to the inner packaging.
  • 8. The combination packaging according to claim 1, wherein an opening element for opening the outer packaging is provided, the connecting element connecting the opening element to the inner packaging such that the opening element is separated from the inner packaging by opening the outer packaging by means of the opening element.
  • 9. The combination packaging according to claim 8, wherein the opening element comprises a tear-off strip, a removable adhesive strip, and/or a perforation.
  • 10. The combination packaging according to claim 8, wherein the opening element is arranged peripherally on the outer packaging and this is divided into two parts which can be removed from the inner packaging in the manner of a sliding box.
  • 11. Production method for a combination packaging according to claim 1, said method having the steps of: providing a blank for inner packaging, comprising a plurality of first side walls, wherein the inner packaging can be erected from a flat state, in which the first side walls are arranged to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state, in which the first side walls form an acute, right, or obtuse angle to one anotherproviding a blank for outer packaging, comprising a plurality of second side walls, wherein the outer packaging can be erected from a flat state, in which the second side walls are arranged to be substantially in parallel with one another, into an erected state, in which the second side walls form an acute, right, or obtuse angle to one another, the blank for the outer packaging further comprising at least one closeable cover and a closeable base that are hinged to the second side walls;connecting the inner packaging to the outer packaging at at least one connection point, by means of a connecting element having a predetermined breaking point, such that the inner packaging and the outer packaging can be transferred together from the flat state into the erected state,wherein the outer packaging surrounds the inner packaging substantially from all sides in the erected, closed state, and wherein the at least one predetermined breaking point is arranged such that the inner packaging is separated from the outer packaging either by erecting the combination packaging from the flat state into the erected state, by closing the inner packaging, or by opening the outer packaging.
