Claims
- 1. A combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover comprising a generally elongated shaft having first and second opposite end portions, said first end portion having an enlarged head, said second end portion having thread means for securing said elongated shaft to an archery bow, a pair of sleeves in external telescopic relationship to said elongated shaft, a first of said sleeves defining a weight adapted to be positioned adjacent said enlarged head when the combined stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer, a second of said sleeves being disposed remote from said enlarged head when the combined stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer, said weight being freely slidable upon said elongated shaft when said stabilizer/remover is used as a remover, and thread means for securing said elongated shaft to a threaded arrowhead when said stabilizer/remover is used as a remover whereby said weight can be slid along said elongated shaft to create impact forces during arrowhead removal.
- 2. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said first-mentioned thread means is an external thread.
- 3. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread.
- 4. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread and is formed in said elongated shaft.
- 5. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said first-mentioned thread means is an external thread, and said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread.
- 6. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said first-mentioned thread is an external thread, and said elongated shaft is generally smooth surfaced between said external thread and said enlarged head.
- 7. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 1 wherein said first sleeve is intimately sandwiched between said enlarged head and said second sleeve when said stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer and said thread means of said second end portion are at least partially exposed and project beyond said second sleeve when said stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer.
- 8. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 7 wherein said first-mentioned thread means is an external thread.
- 9. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 7 wherein said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread.
- 10. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 7 wherein said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread, and said internal thread has an axis coincident to the axis of said shaft.
- 11. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 7 wherein said first-mentioned thread means is an external thread, and said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread.
- 12. The combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover as defined in claim 7 wherein said first-mentioned thread means is an external thread, and said last-mentioned thread means is an internal thread, and said internal and external threads and said shaft have a common coincident axis.
- 13. An archery bow and a combined archery bow stabilizer and embedded arrowhead remover comprising an archery bow having thread means for threadedly securing an archery bow stabilizer/remover to said archery bow, said stabilizer/remover including a generally elongated shaft having first and second opposite end portions, said first end portion having an enlarged head, said second end portion having thread means for securing said elongated shaft to said archery bow thread means, a pair of sleeves in external telescopic relationship to said elongated shaft, a first of said sleeves defining a weight adapted to be positioned adjacent said enlarged head when the combined stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer, a second of said sleeves being disposed remote from said enlarged head when the combined stabilizer/remover is used as a stabilizer, said weight being freely slidable upon said elongated shaft when said stabilizer/remover is used as a remover, thread means for securing said elongated shaft to a threaded arrowhead when said stabilizer/remover is used as a remover whereby said weight can be slid along said elongated shaft to create impact forces during arrowhead removal, and said sleeves being generally sandwiched between said archery bow and enlarged head when said stabilizer/removal is utilized as a stabilizer.
