CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

BACKGROUND

A variety of commemorative items for sporting events exist that do not provide a long-lasting practical use. For example, many items either take up valuable space, such as posters or cards, or do not last very long due to being made of inexpensive materials, such as plastic key chains and other tchotchkes. A unique, yet useful item that lasts a long time is desirable to prolong an individual's memories of the event, as well as creating a desire to return to the event, if it is a recurring event. For example, a commemorative sports towel distributed at a sporting event, such as an annual tournament, may provide an individual a daily reminder of the event as well as an object useful in everyday activities.

SUMMARY

The present disclosure is directed to methods systems, apparatus, and/or devices for a commemorative sports towel. The method, system, apparatus, and/or device may include: a first fabric configured in a shape of sporting equipment; a second fabric configured in the shape of the sporting equipment, wherein the first and the second fabric are coupled to create two sides of the sporting equipment; exfoliating material coupled to the first and second fabric, wherein the exfoliating material is configured to accent the shape of the sporting equipment; a pouch contained between the first and second fabric, wherein the pouch is configured to receive a cleansing material; one or more loops coupled to an exterior of the first and second fabric; and wherein the fabric comprises an area configured to receive letters, numbers, or images commemorating a sporting event.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosed methods, systems, apparatus, and/or devices for a commemorative sports towel will become better understood through review of the following detailed description in conjunction with the figures. The detailed description and figures provide merely examples of the various inventions described herein. Those skilled in the art will understand that the disclosed examples may be varied, modified, and altered without departing from the scope of the inventions described herein, Many variations are contemplated for different applications and design considerations, however, for the sake of brevity, each and every contemplated variation is not individually described in the following detailed description.

Throughout the follow, detailed description, a variety of methods, systems, apparatus, and/or devices for a commemorative sports towel examples are provided. Related features in the examples may be identical, similar, or dissimilar in different examples. For the sake of brevity, related features will lot be redundantly explained in each example. Instead, the use of related feature names will cue the reader that the feature with a related feature name may be similar to the related feature in an example explained previously. Features specific to a given example will be described in that particular example. The reader should understand that a given feature need not be the same or similar to the specific portrayal of a related feature in any given figure or example.

DEFINITIONS

The following definitions apply herein, unless otherwise indicated.

“Substantially” means to be more-or-less conforming to the particular dimension, range, shape, concept, or other aspect modified by the term, such that a feature or component need not conform exactly. For example, a “substantially cylindrical” object means that the object resembles a cylinder, but may have one or more deviations from a true cylinder.

“Comprising,” “including,” and “having” (and conjugations thereof) are used interchangeably to mean including but not necessarily limited to, and are open-ended terms not intended to exclude additional elements or method steps not expressly recited.

Terms such as “first”, “second”, and “third” are used to distinguish or identify various members of a group, or the like, and are not intended to denote a serial, chronological,or numerical limitation.

“Coupled” means connected, either permanently or releasably, whether directly or indirectly through intervening components.

“Communicatively coupled” means that an electronic device exchanges information with another electronic device, either wirelessly or with a wire-based connector, whether directly or indirectly through a communication network.

“Controllably coupled” means that an electronic device controls operation of another electronic device.

COMMEMORATIVE SPORTS TOWEL

With reference to the figures, methods, systems, apparatus, and/or devices for a commemorative sports towel will now be described. The commemorative sports towel discussed herein enables event coordinators a unique and useful item to provide attendees of a sporting event. Tournament-style sporting events typically provide commemorative items to its attendees, sponsors, and other persons involved in the tournament. The unique design of the commemorative sports towel also provides the a to customize the device to match the event or even participants of the event. For example, the commenorative sports towel may be in the shame of the sporting equipment used in the tournament, such an American football, a soccer ball, a basketball, a tennis ball, a tennis racket, and the like. The colors of the commemorative sports towel may be the traditional colors of the sporting equipment or may be customized to better reflect the specific sporting event, individual teams attending the sporting event, or sponsors of the sporting event. The commemorative sports towel provides a unique way to commemorate a sporting event as well as providing the recipient a useful sports towel. Additional benefits of the commemorative sports towel include benefits to the environment by not wasting the small pieces of a bar of soap left after using the bar of soap for cleansing. These small pieces of bar soap may be placed in a pouch of the commemorative sports towel for cleansing and will be used up completely as they are contained within the pouch.

COMMEMORATIVE SPORTS TOWEL EMBODIMENT ONE

With reference to FIGS. 1A-1E, a commemorative sports towel 100 will now be described. The commemorative sports towel 100 includes a fabric base 102, an exfoliating material 104, a pouch 106, and one or more loops 108. In some embodiments, a pocket (not shown) is included.

FIGS. 1A-C illustrate a front view of a commemorative sports towel 100, according to an embodiment. In one embodiment, the commemorative sports towel 100 may be in the shape of an American football and the exfoliating material 104 may form the stripes of the football.

The fabric base 102 may be a soft cleansing material, such as terry cloth or similar such fabric. In one example, the fabric base 102 comprises the majority of material of the commemorative sports towel 100. In one embodiment, the fabric base 102 comprises two sides, such as a first fabric and a second fabric, which are attached at their edges to form a shape of sporting equipment. The resulting commemorative sports towel 100 then comprises a void in between the two sides wherein the pouch 106 and/or the pocket may be located. In another embodiment, the fabric base 102 may be a receptacle, such as a tube of fabric, wherein one opening exists at one end of the tube. The one opening may provide the space for the pouch 106 and/or the pocket. In one embodiment, there are two openings at either end of the tube of fabric. One end may be sewn shut and the other end may provide the space for the pouch 106 and/or the pocket,

In one embodiment, the fabric base 102 may include an area 110 to contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event, a team participating in a sporting event, and/or a sponsor of a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 102. In another example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 102.

As can be seen in FIG. 1B the pouch 106 is located in the void within the commemorative sports towel 100. The pouch 106 may be comprised of a mesh material. In one embodiment, the pouch 106 may be used for holding a cleansing material, such as a bar of soap, multiple pieces of a bar of soap, or a shower gel. A flap 114 in or on the fabric base 102 conceals the pouch 106 and may prevent the cleansing material from failing out while in use. In one embodiment, closure (not shown), such as Velcro, a button, or a snap, within the opening is provided to prevent the cleansing material from falling out while in use.

In one embodiment, the one or more loops 108 may be located on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 100, as shown in FIGS. 1A-E. In one example, the one or more loops 108 extend out from the narrow ends of an American football-shaped commemorative sports towel 100. Positioning the one or more loops 108 on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 100 enables a user to hold on to the one or more loops 108 while cleansing, such as to cleanse the user's back. The one or more loops 108 provide a useful way to hang the commemorative sports towel 100 while not in use. In one embodiment, each loop 108 may have a different shape, such as an oval, a circle, etc.

In one embodiment, the pocket (not shown) may be used to house the user's hand while cleansing. The fabric base 102 may have an opening along a seam (not shown) combining the front and the back of the commemorative sports towel 100. Within this opening, the pocket may be comprised of the same material as the fabric base 102 or other soft fabric, In one embodiment,the pocket may be comprised of the same material as the pouch 106.

FIG. 1C illustrates a front view of a prototype of the commemorative sports towel 100.

FIGS. 1D-F illustrate a back view of the commemorative sports towel 100, according to an embodiment. Some of the features in FIGS. 1D-F are the same or similar to some of the features in FIGS. 1A-C as noted by same reference numbers, unless expressly described otherwise. As discussed above, the fabric base 102 may be formed into the shape of an American football and the exfoliating material 104 comprises the stripes of the football. In one embodiment, area 112 may contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event, a team participating in a sporting event, and/or a sponsor of a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 102. In another example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 102.

In one embodiment, an external pouch (not shown) is located on the exterior of the commemorative sports towel 100. The external pouch comprises a mesh material containing a shape of a football-related item, such as goal post or a jersey. An opening of the external pouch enables cleansing material, such as a bar of soap, multiple pieces of a bar of soap, or a shower gel, to be placed between the mesh of the external pouch and the fabric base 102. A closure (not shown), such as Velcro, a button, or a snap, withinthe opening is provided to prevent the cleansing material from falling out while in use.

FIG. 1F illustrates a back view of a prototype of the commemorative sports towel 100.

SECOND EMBODIMENT

FIG. 2A illustrates a front view of commemorative sports towel 200, according to an embodiment. The commemorative sports towel 200 may include a fabric base 202, an exfoliating material 204, a pouch (not shown), loops 208, and a pocket 206. In one embodiment, the commemorative sports towel. 200 may be in the shape of soccer ball and the exfoliating material 204 may form some or all of the pentagons of the soccer ball. In a traditional soccer ball, the pentagons are black. In one embodiment, the exfoliating material 204 may form some or all of the hexagons of the soccer ball, In a traditional soccer ball, the hexagons are white.

The fabric base 202 may be a soft cleansing material, such as terry cloth or similar such fabric. In one example, the fabric base 202 comprises the majority of material of the commemorative sports towel 200. In one embodiment, the fabric base 202 comprises two sides which are attached at their edges to form a shape of sporting equipment. The resulting commemorative sports towel 200 then comprises a void in between the two sides wherein the pouch 206 and/or the pocket may be located.

In one embodiment, the fabric base 202 may include an area 210 to contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event, a team participating in a sporting event, and/or a sponsor of a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 202. In another example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 202.

For example, loops 208 extend out on either side of the soccer ball-shaped commemorative sports towel 200. Positioning the loops 208 on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 200 enables a user to hold on to the loops 208 while cleansing, such as to cleanse the user's back, The loops 208 provide a useful way to hang the commemorative sports towel 200 while not in use. In one embodiment, each loop 208 may have a different shape, such as an oval, a circle, etc.

In one embodiment, the pocket 206 may be used to house the user's hand while cleansing. The fabric base 202 may have an opening along a seam (not shown) combining the front and the back of the commemorative sport fabric sports towel 200. Within this opening, the pocket 206 may be comprised of the same material as the fabric base 202 or other soft fabric. In one embodiment, the pocket 206 may be comprised of the same material as the pouch.

FIG. 2B illustrates a back view of the commemorative sports towel 200, according to an embodiment. Some of the features in FIG. 2B are the same or similar to some of the features in FIG. 2A as noted by same reference numbers, unless expressly described otherwise. As discussed above, the fabric base 202 may be formed into the shape of a soccer ball and the exfoliating material 204 comprises some or all of the pentagonal shapes of the soccer ball. In one embodiment, some or all of the hexagonal shapes 212 comprising the fabric base 202 may contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 202. In another example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 202.

In one embodiment, an external pouch 214 is located on the exterior of the commemorative sports towel 200. The external pouch 214 comprises a mesh material in a shape of a soccer-related item, such as a net or jersey. An opening (not shown) of the external pouch 214 enables cleansing material, such as a bar of soap, multiple pieces of a bar of soap, or a shower gel, to be placed between the mesh of the external pouch 214 and the fabric base 202. A closure (not shown), such as Velcro, a button, or a snap, within the opening is provided to prevent the cleansing material from falling out while in use.

THIRD EMBODIMENT

FIG. 3A illustrates a front view of a commemorative sports towel 300 according to an embodiment. The commemorative sports towel 300 may include fabric base 302, an exfoliating material 304, a pouch (not shown) loops 308, and a pocket 206. In one embodiment, the commemorative sports towel 300 may be in the shape of basketball and the exfoliating material 304 may form some or all of the stripes of the basketball.

The fabric base 302 may be a soft cleansing material, such as terry cloth or similar such fabric. In one example, the fabric base 302 comprises the majority of material of the commemorative sports towel 300. In one embodiment, the fabric base 302 comprises two sides which are attached at their edges to form a shape of sporting equipment. The resulting commemorative sports towel 300 then comprises a void in between the two sides wherein the pouch 306 and/or the pocket may be located.

In one embodiment, the fabric base 302 may include an area 310 to contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event, a team participating in a sporting event, and/or a sponsor of a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 302. Positioning the loops 308 on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 300 enables a user to hold on to the loops 308 to while cleansing, such as to cleanse the user's back. The loops 308 provide a useful way to hang the commemorative sports towel 300 while not use. In one embodiment, each loop 108 may have a different shape, such as an oval, a circle, etc.

As discussed above, the fabric base 302 may formed into the shape of a basketball and the exfoliating material 304 comprises some or all of the stripes of the basketball. In one embodiment, an area 312 on the fabric base 302 may contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 302. In another example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 302.

FOURTH EMBODIMENT

FIG. 4A illustrates a front view of a commemorative sports towel 400, according to an embodiment. The commemorative sports towel 400 may include a fabric base 402, an exfoliating material 404, a pouch (not shown), loops 408, and a pocket 406. In one embodiment,the commemorative sports towel 400 may be in the shape of a baseball bat and the exfoliating material 404 may form some or all of designs on the baseball bat, such as baseballs, a baseball hat, and a baseball glove.

In one example, the fabric base 402 comprises the majority of material of the commemorative sports towel 400. In one embodiment, the fabric base 402 comprises two sides which are attached at their edges to form a shape of sporting equipment. In one embodiment, the loops 408 may be located on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 400, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B. In one embodiment, at least one loop 408 extends out from the bottom of the baseball bat-shaped commemorative sports towel 400 and at least one loop 408 extends out from the top of the baseball bat-shaped commemorative sports towel 400. In one embodiment, at least one loop 408 extends out from the baseball hat, in a similar way as the back strap of a baseball hat. Positioning the loops 408 on opposite ends of the commemorative sports towel 400 enables a user to hold on to the loops 408 while cleansing, such as to cleanse the user's back. The loops 408 provide a useful way to hang the commemorative sports towel 400 while not in use. In one embodiment, each loop 408 may have a different shape, such as an oval, a circle, etc.

FIG. 4B illustrates a back view of the commemorative sports towel 400, according to an embodiment. Some of the features in FIG. 4B are the same or similar to some of the features in FIG. 4A as noted by same reference numbers, unless expressly described otherwise. In one embodiment, area 412 may contain letters, numbers, and/or images (not shown) commemorating a sporting event, a team participating in a sporting event, and/or a sponsor of a sporting event. In one example, the letters, numbers, and/or images may be embroidered on the fabric base 402. In another example, the letters, plumbers, and/or images may be a patch (not shown) sewn onto the fabric base 402.

In one embodiment, the pocket 406 may be used to house the user's hand while cleansing. The fabric base 402 may have an opening along a seam (not shown) combining the front and the back of the commemorative sport fabric sports towel 400. Within this opening, the pocket 406 may be comprised of the same material as the fabric base 402 or other soft fabric. In one embodiment, the pocket 406 may be comprised of the same material as the pouch.

In one embodiment, an external pouch (not shown) is located on the exterior of the commemorative sports towel 400. In one example, the external pouch comprises a mesh material in a shape of a baseball-related item, such as a catcher's mask. An opening of the external pouch enables cleansing material, such as a bar oto soap, multiple pieces of a bar of soap, or a shower gel, to be placed between the mesh of the external pouch and the fabric base 402. A closure (not shown), such as Velcro, a button, or a snap, within the opening is provided to prevent the cleansing material from falling out while in use.

The disclosure above encompasses multiple distinct embodiments with independent utility. While these embodiments have been disclosed in a particular form, the specific embodiments disclosed and illustrated above are not to be considered in a limiting sense as numerous variations are possible. The subject matter of the embodiments includes the novel and non-obvious combinations and sub-combinations of the various elements, features, functions and/or properties disclosed above and inherent to those skilled in the art pertaining to such embodiments.
