Claims
- 1. In a communication system network that comprises a plurality of communication systems and a processing multiplexer, wherein the processing multiplexer comprises at least one AEB data bus and a plurality of system database circuits, wherein each of the system database circuits includes a system data database that stores information pertaining to system data, a method for at least one system database circuit of the plurality of system database circuits to establish and maintain address information of the plurality of system database circuits, the method comprises the steps of:
- a) within the at least one system database circuit, monitoring self address information, wherein the self addressing information includes, at least, a communication system identification number, an AEB identification number, an AEB signal bus address, and an address sequence number;
- b) updating, within the system data database of the at least one system database circuit, the self address information when a change is detected in step (a) to produce updated self address information;
- c) transmitting, by the at least one system database circuit, the updated self address information onto the at least one AEB data bus;
- d) receiving, by each of the plurality of system database circuits, the updated self address information from the at least one AEB data bus to produce received updated address information;
- e) comparing, by each of the plurality of system database circuits, the received updated address information with previously stored self address information of the at least one system database circuit;
- f) overwriting, in the system data database of each of the plurality of system database circuits, the previously stored self address information of the at least one system database circuit with the received updated address information when the received updated address information is different than the previously stored self address information of the at least one system database circuit.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein step (e) further comprises individually comparing the address sequence number of the at least one system database circuit with a previously stored address sequence number of the at least one system database circuit to determine whether the updated self address information is different than the previously stored self address information of the at least one system database circuit.
- 3. The method of claim 1 further comprises transmitting, by each of plurality of system database circuits, self address information onto the at least one AEB data bus when a first predetermined period of time elapses.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein step (f) further comprises overwriting, in each of the plurality of system database circuits, previously stored self address information of the at least one system database circuit with null address information when a second predetermined period of time elapses.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the second predetermined period of time is reset whenever self address information is received for the particular system database circuit.
- 6. In a communication system network that comprises a plurality of communication systems and a processing multiplexer, wherein the processing multiplexer comprises at least one AEB data bus and a plurality of system database circuits, wherein each of the system database circuits includes a system data database that stores information pertaining to system data, a method for a system database circuit of the plurality of system database circuits to establish and maintain address information of the plurality of system database circuits, the method comprises the steps of;
- a) within the system database circuit, monitoring self address information, wherein the self addressing information includes, at least, a communication system identification number, an AEB identification number, an AEB signal bus address, and an address sequence number;
- b) updating, within the system data database of the at least one system database circuit, the self address information when a change is detected in step (a) to produce updated self address information;
- c) transmitting, by the at least one system database circuit, the updated self address information onto the at least one AEB data bus;
- d) receiving, by the system database circuit, updated self address information from another system database circuit via the at least one AEB data bus to produce received updated address information;
- e) comparing, by the system database circuit, the received updated address information with previously stored self address information for the another system database circuit; and
- f) overwriting, in the system data database of the system database circuit, the previously stored self address information of the another system database circuit with the received updated address information when the received updated address information is different than the previously stored self address information.
