Claims
- 1. A compact disc folder having a booklet shape, comprising: a cover portion and an internal booklet portion, the booklet portion having a plurality of pages and the cover portion enclosing the booklet pages, the cover portion including a front cover panel, a rear cover panel and an interior panel, the front and rear cover panels being separated from each other by a first foldline and said front and interior panels being separated from each other by a second foldline, the first and second foldlines being generally angularly offset from each other, said interior panel being folded upon said front panel along said first foldline and attached thereto to define therebetween a first interior pocket of said folder, the first interior pocket being dimensioned to receive therein a compact disc and defining a disc-receiving pocket of said folder, said booklet portion pages being supported on said cover portion intermediate said front and rear cover panels such that said booklet portion pages lie adjacent said disc-receiving pocket.
- 2. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, wherein said cover portion includes a second interior panel separated from said rear panel by a third foldline, said second interior panel being folded on said rear cover panel along said third foldline to define a second internal pocket of said folder, said booklet portions being separated intermediate said first and second internal pockets.
- 3. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, wherein said cover portion includes a second interior panel separated from said rear panel by a third foldline, said second interior panel being folded upon said rear cover panel to define therebetween a second internal pocket of said folder, said second internal pocket being dimensioned to receive therein a cover portion of said booklet portion and defining a booklet-receiving pocket of said folder that supports said booklet on said cover portion.
- 4. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 3, wherein said interior and second interior panels include distinct respective attachment flaps, said folder further including adhesive deposits associated with each of said front and rear cover panels for engaging said attachment flaps and attaching them to said front and rear cover panels to form said first and second internal pockets.
- 5. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said third foldline is spaced apart from and angularly offset from said second foldline.
- 6. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said third foldline is spaced apart from and generally parallel to said first foldline.
- 7. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said third foldline is spaced apart from and angularly offset from said first foldline.
- 8. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said third foldline is substantially coincident with said second foldline.
- 9. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, wherein said cover portion includes an intervening spine panel disposed between said front and rear cover panels adjacent said first foldline.
- 10. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said cover portion further includes an intervening spine panel disposed between said front and rear cover panels adjacent said first foldline and said cover portion still further includes an intermediate interior panel disposed between said interior and second interior panel and interconnecting said interior and second interior panels together, said intervening spine panel and intermediate interior panel adjoining each other.
- 11. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, further including an intervening panel interposed between said first and second panels, said intervening panel being defined by a pair of first foldlines.
- 12. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said second foldline forms a baseline of said folder and said interior and second interior panels are spaced apart from each other along said baseline.
- 13. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, wherein said cover portion is formed from a single paperboard blank.
- 14. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 2, wherein said folder second internal pocket defines a second compact disc receiving pocket of said folder, each of said disc-receiving and second disc-receiving pockets having an access opening formed therein through which compact disc may be inserted into and removed from said disc-receiving pockets.
- 15. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 14, wherein said access openings are spaced generally parallel to said first foldline.
- 16. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 1, further including an end flap extending from said rear cover panel, said end flap including adhesive means for securing said end flap to said front cover panel to hold said folder in a closed position.
- 17. The compact disc folder as defined in claim 16, wherein said end flap includes at least line of weakening formed therein defining a tear strip in said end flap.
- 18. A paged, compact disc carrier for holding at least one compact disc and at least one booklet of printed material accompanying the compact disc, the carrier being foldable between an open position and a closed position, the disc carrier comprising: a cover portion having a front cover panel and a back cover panel that respectively form front and back portions of said carrier when folded upon each other, the cover portion including a first interior pocket panel adjoining said front cover panel, the first interior pocket panel being foldable upon said front cover panel around a first foldline to define a first internal pocket of said carrier, said first foldline defining a baseline of said carrier, said front and back cover panels having a second foldline disposed therebetween, said cover portion further including a second interior pocket panel adjoining said rear cover panel, the second interior pocket panel being foldable upon said rear cover panel around a third foldline to define a second internal pocket of said carrier, said first and second internal pockets being spaced apart from each other along said carrier baseline, and said first and second internal pockets generally overlying each other when said carrier is in said closed position, said carrier further including a booklet containing printed information, the booklet having multiple pages folded around a common centerline, said booklet being supported on said folder between said first and second internal pockets proximate to said foldline so that said booklet is retained between said front and rear panels of said folder when said carrier is in said closed position.
- 19. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein said cover portion is formed from a paperboard blank.
- 20. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein said booklet is interconnected to said cover portion by saddle-stitching.
- 21. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein said booklet is interconnected to said cover portion by staples.
- 22. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein each of said first and second internal pocket panels include attachment flaps foldable thereon.
- 23. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein each of said first and second internal pockets includes a compact disc-receiving pocket.
- 24. The compact disc carrier of claim 23, wherein said first and second internal pockets include respective access edges defining respective openings of said first and second internal pockets into which compact discs can be inserted into and removed from.
- 25. The compact disc carrier of claim 24, wherein said access edges are angularly offset from said cover portion first foldline.
- 26. The compact disc carrier of claim 24, wherein said access edges are generally parallel to said cover portion first foldline.
- 27. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein said interior and second interior pocket panels are interconnected together.
- 28. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, wherein said interior and second interior pocket panels are spaced apart from each other and said cover portion first and third foldlines are coincident with each other.
- 29. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, further including a second booklet, wherein said first internal pocket is a disc-receiving pocket that receives a compact disc therein and said second internal pocket is a booklet receiving pocket that receives said second booklet therein.
- 30. The compact disc carrier of claim 18, further including a first spine panel interposed between said front and rear cover panels, said first spine panel interconnecting said front and rear cover panels together.
- 31. The compact disc carrier of claim 30, further including a second spine panel interposed between said first and second interior pocket panels, said second spine panel interconnecting said first and second interior pocket panels together.
- 32. The compact disc carrier of claim 31, wherein said cover portion includes an opening separating said first and second spine panels from each other.
