Claims
- 1. A spray gun apparatus for applying at least two components to a work piece comprising:
- a housing;
- a first valve for controlling dispensing of a first component and having a packing seal for sealing said first valve in a first bore in said housing;
- a second valve for controlling dispensing of a second component and having a seal for sealing said second valve in a second bore in said housing; and
- said first valve including a packing cartridge which is adjustable by turning a first valve seat threadably received in said first bore.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, including relief ports in said housing connected to said first bore to allow detection of leaks in the packing.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2, including relief ports in said housing connected to said second bore to allow detection of leaks in the seal, sealing said second valve.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said first valve seat includes tool means for receiving a tool at a first end of said first bore to adjustable rotate said first valve seat from the exterior of said housing.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said first component is resin and said second component is catalyst.
- 6. A spray gun apparatus for applying at least two components to a work piece comprising:
- a housing,
- a first valve for controlling dispensing of a first component and having a seal for sealing said first valve in a first bore in said housing,
- a spool valve for controlling dispensing of a second component and having O-ring seals for sealing said spool valve in a second bore in said housing,
- said spool valve including a first part, including said O-rings seals, separable from a second part to allow said first part to be separately removed without complete disassembly of the gun.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein said second part of said spool valve is a piston.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 6, including relief ports in said housing connected to said second bore to allow detection of leaks in the O-ring seal.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8, including relief ports in said housing connected to said first bore to allow detection of leaks in the seal.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein said first part of said spool valve includes tool means for receiving a tool at a first end of said second bore for rotating said first part to separate it from said second part from the exterior of said housing.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein said first component is resin and said second component is catalyst.
