Claims
- 1. A molded object comprising a first molded polymer P1 coated with a second polymer P2, wherein polymer P1 comprises at least 30 wt. % of monomers having formula I, ##STR30## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon group containing 1-18 carbon atoms, wherein said polymer P1 contains less than 20 wt. % styrene or .alpha.-methyl styrene, and wherein polymer P2 comprises at least 30 wt. % of polymer having formula II ##STR31## wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen, methyl or a group --CH.sub.2 --X--CHR.sub.5 R.sub.6, X is --C(O)--Z--, --Z--C(O)--, --Z--C(O)--Z'--, wherein Z is oxygen or --NR.sub.4, Z' is oxygen or NR.sub.4, and R.sub.4 is hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1-12 carbon atoms, and --CHR.sub.5 R.sub.6 is an aliphatic or araliphatic hydrocarbon group with 5-24 carbon atoms.
- 2. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are combined in a ring comprising 5-12 carbon atoms.
- 3. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.5 is hydrogen or a C.sub.1-5 hydrocarbon group and R.sub.6 is an aliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group with 4-18 carbon atoms.
- 4. The object of claim 1, wherein the group --X-- is --C(O)--O--, --O--C(O)-- or --O--C(O)--O--.
- 5. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl.
- 6. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are combined in a cyclohexane ring.
- 7. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.6 is a branched aliphatic group with 4-18 carbon atoms.
- 8. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 is --CCH.sub.3 R.sub.7 R.sub.8, where R.sub.7 is hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1-18 carbon atoms and R.sub.8 is an alkyl group with 1-8 carbon atoms.
- 9. The object of claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen.
- 10. The object of claim 1, wherein polymer P1 is poly-p-methylstyrene and polymer P2 is polycyclohexyl(meth)acrylate.
- 11. A molded object comprising a molded miscible polymer mixture coated with a polymer P2, wherein said molded miscible polymer mixture comprises two different polymer components, said miscible polymer mixture comprising
- A) 0.1-99.9% by weight of a polymer P1, which comprises at least 30% by weight of monomers with formula I, ##STR32## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl and R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon group with 1-18 carbon atoms and wherein said polymer P1 contains less than 20 wt. % styrene or .alpha.-methyl styrene, and
- B) 99.9-0.1% by weight of a polymer P2 which comprises at least 30% by weight of a monomer with formula II ##STR33## where R.sub.3 is hydrogen, methyl or a group --CH.sub.2 --X--CHR.sub.5 R.sub.6, X is --C(O)--Z--, --Z--C(O)--, --Z--C(O)--Z'--, wherein Z is oxygen or --NR.sub.4, Z' is oxygen or NR.sub.4, and R.sub.4 is hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1-12 carbon atoms, and --CHR.sub.5 R.sub.6 is an aliphatic or araliphatic hydrocarbon group with 5-24 carbon atoms.
- 12. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are combined in a ring comprising 5-12 carbon atoms.
- 13. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.5 is hydrogen or a C.sub.1-5 hydrocarbon group and R.sub.6 is an aliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group with 4-18 carbon atoms.
- 14. The object of claim 11, wherein the group --X-- is --C(O)--O--, --O--C(O)-- or --O--C(O)--O--.
- 15. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl.
- 16. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are combined in a cyclohexane ring.
- 17. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.6 is a branched aliphatic group with 4-18 carbon atoms.
- 18. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.2 is --CCH.sub.3 R.sub.7 R.sub.8, wherein R.sub.7 is hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1-8 carbon atoms and R.sub.8 is an alkyl group with 1-8 carbon atoms.
- 19. The object of claim 11, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen.
- 20. The object of claim 1, wherein said molded object is a film, plate, sheet, fiber or cable.
- 21. The object of claim 11, wherein said molded object is a film, plate, sheet, fiber or cable.
- 22. The object of claim 1, wherein said molded object is produced by injection, pressing, extrusion, rolling or casting.
- 23. The object of claim 11, wherein said molded object is produced by injection, pressing, extrusion, rolling or casting.
