Claims
- 1. A component drier for drying a plurality of components moistened with a liquid without leaving substantial impurities on said components by evaporation of said liquid, comprising:
- a drying chamber comprising:
- an enclosure having an inside and an outside;
- a vat inside said enclosure, said vat being adapted to store components to be dried and having a bottom surface allowing passage of air and a liquid;
- a rack, being adapted to support said vat for positioning the same in a vertical central portion of said drying chamber, said vertical central portion being located inside said chamber between an upper space above said rack and a lower space under said rack, said rack having a portion allowing passage of said air and said liquid after passage through said bottom surface of said vat;
- an air inlet for passing air into said upper space of said enclosure and being positioned above said vat;
- air outlet for passing air out of said lower space of said enclosure being positioned below said vat; and
- an openable/closable drain port being positioned below said vat and said air outlet; and
- a suction device being arranged adjacently to said drying chamber which forcibly sucks air and substantially all liquid from inside said drying chamber to the outside through said air outlet.
- 2. A component drier in accordance with claim 1, wherein said suction device sucks no less than about 95% of said liquid from said components.
- 3. A component drier in accordance with claim 2, wherein no more than about 5% of said liquid is vaporized by said component drier.
- 4. A component drier in accordance with claim 1, wherein no more than about 5% of said liquid is vaporized by said component drier.
- 5. A component drier for drying a plurality of components moistened with a liquid without leaving substantial impurities on said components by evaporation of said liquid, comprising:
- a drying chamber comprising:
- an enclosure having an inside and an outside;
- a vat inside said enclosure, said vat being adapted to store components to be dried and having a bottom surface allowing passage of air and a liquid;
- a rack, being adapted to support said vat for positioning the same in a vertical central portion of said drying chamber, said vertical central portion being located inside said chamber between an upper space above said rack and a lower space under said rack, said rack having a portion allowing passage of said air and said liquid after passage through said bottom surface of said vat;
- an air inlet for passing air into said upper space of said enclosure and being positioned above said vat;
- an air outlet for passing air out of said lower space of said enclosure being positioned below said vat; and
- an openable/closable drain port being positioned below said vat and said air outlet;
- a suction device being arranged adjacently to said drying chamber which forcibly sucks air and substantially all liquid from inside said drying chamber to the outside through said air outlet; and
- a heating device being arranged adjacently to said drying chamber for heating air being introduced into said drying chamber through said air inlet.
- 6. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein said suction means is positioned below said heating device.
- 7. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein said heating device comprises an inlet port for absorbing outside air, a heater for heating said outside air, and a first feed path for introducing heated said outside air into said air inlet.
- 8. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein said suction device comprises a fan, a second feed path being positioned on an intake side of said fan for feeding air from said air outlet to said fan, and an exhaust port being positioned on an exhaust side of said fan.
- 9. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein a structure for temporarily storing said liquid to be discharged from said drain port is provided in a lower portion of said drying chamber.
- 10. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein a suction capacity of said suction device is selected to be 2 to 10 times an air supply capacity of said air inlet.
- 11. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein said components are electronic components.
- 12. A component drier in accordance with claim 11, wherein said liquid is adapted to wash electronic components.
- 13. A component drier in accordance with claim 12, wherein said liquid is water.
- 14. A component drier in accordance with claim 12, wherein said liquid is an organic solvent.
- 15. A component drier in accordance with claim 14, wherein said organic solvent is tertiary petroleum.
- 16. A component drier in accordance with claim 15, wherein said tertiary petroleum is N-methylpyrrolidone.
- 17. A component drier in accordance with claim 11, wherein said electronic components are ceramic electronic components.
- 18. A component drier in accordance with claim 11, wherein said electronic components have plated portions on surfaces thereof.
- 19. A component drier in accordance with claim 11, wherein said electronic components have soldered portions on surfaces thereof.
- 20. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein an air supply capacity of said air inlet is within a range of from 5 to 10 m.sup.3 per hour.
- 21. A component drier in accordance with claim 20, wherein a suction capacity of said suction device is within a range of 20 to 50 m.sup.3 per hour.
- 22. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein a suction capacity of said suction device is within a range of 20 to 50 m.sup.3 per hour.
- 23. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein said suction device sucks no less than about 95% of said liquid from said components.
- 24. A component drier in accordance with claim 23, wherein no more than about 5% of said liquid is vaporized by said component drier.
- 25. A component drier in accordance with claim 5, wherein no more than about 5% of said liquid is vaporized by said component drier.
