The subject matter herein generally relates to a component holder and an assembly having the component holder.
Components, such as rear cameras configured to be held in a housing, need to be precisely positioned in the housing first.
Implementations of the present technology will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the attached figures.
It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features. The description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein.
Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
The term “coupled” is defined as connected, whether directly or indirectly through intervening components, and is not necessarily limited to physical connections. The connection can be such that the objects are permanently connected or releasably connected. The term “comprising” means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in a so-described combination, group, series and the like.
The present disclosure describes a component holder.
The component holder comprises a bracket 20, two fixing members 30 and a plurality of fastening members 40. In at least one embodiment, the fastening members 40 are screws.
An adhesive tape 50 is ahered to a bottom face of the component 10 or a top surface of the bottom plate 21 in the receiving space 25. The component 10 is inserted into the receiving space 25. Sidewalls of the component 10 face the two second side plates 222, slidably pushing the two bent portions 33 and the two contact portions 35. The two bent portions 33 are deformed to allow each contact portion 35 to press against the component 10 in a direction perpendicular to the corresponding second side plate 222. The component 10 is sandwiched among the two contact portions 35 and the first side plates 220, to prevent the component 10 from being rotated. The component 10 is further pressed downwards to attach the component 10 to the bottom plate 21 by the adhesive tape 50. In at least one embodiment, the adhesive tape 50 is a tape having pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA).
In another embodiment, the two elastic boards 32 are coupled to the two second side plates 222 integrally or in another ways.
In another embodiment, an inner surface of the contact portion 35 is arc-shaped, to press firmly against the component 10 having a round bottom.
The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of a component holder. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
