Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED DISCLOSURE

The present disclosure claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202010087952.7, filed to the China National Intellectual Property Administration on Feb. 12, 2020 and entitled “Composite Brake Disc Connecting Assembly and Composite Brake Disc”.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a composite brake disc connecting assembly and a composite brake disc, and belongs to a technical field of brake disc machining.

BACKGROUND

Most conventional brake discs have an integrated structure made of a gray cast iron material, have a large weight at a defined boundary, and have large deformation under thermal expansion, which cannot meet the potential requirements of passenger vehicles and electric automobiles for NVH and light weight.

However, the existing composite brake disc needs to satisfy both light weight requirement and NVH requirement, and thus the composite brake disc has a complicated structure, a large number of component parts, a high cost, a complicated assembling process, and high difficulty of process control. As the existing composite brake disc has a high cost, it can only be applied in foreign-capital luxury brands or supercars, and there is an urgent need for a low-cost solution in the market.

In addition, the density of gray cast iron is usually between 7.2 ± 0.3 g/cm3, and the strength thereof varies from 130 Mpa to 300 Mpa; however, the density of aluminum alloy is only about ⅓ of that of the gray cast iron and is about 2.7 g/cm3; and after thermal treatment, the strength of the aluminum alloy can be as high as 250 Mpa and more, but the heat resistance thereof is poor. Therefore, if the aluminum alloy is used to replace or partially replace the conventional gray cast iron material, the light weight requirement of a vehicle for a brake disc can be satisfied.
