Claims
- 1. In a process for preparing a sliver of stretch broken fibers that includes the steps of feeding a yarn or tow of continuous filaments into a tensioning zone, tensioning said filaments to their breaking tension causing them to randomly break, the improvement comprising: feeding a yarn or tow of glass fibers into said tensioning zone and applying a finish comprising a mixture of one part of the diethanol amine salt of C8-C12 phosphate ester and two parts of polyethylene glycol monolaurate and a lauric amide prior to breaking the tensioned filaments.
