Claims
- 1. A method for increasing the activity of a cell surface active protein, comprising:
a) dissolving the protein in an aqueous solution; and b) adjusting the aqueous solution with an amphiphilic compound and a buffer 5 so that the aqueous solution having the protein dissolved therein contains the protein at a concentration of from 0.1 to 10 mg/ml; contains the amphiphilic compound at a concentration of at least 0.001 to 0.1% weight per volume; is buffered with the buffer to a pH of from 4 to 10 when measured at a temperature of from 4° C. to 30° C.; and contains the buffer in a concentration of from 10 to 500 mmol/liter.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the protein is selected from the group consisting of hedgehog proteins, bone morphogenetic proteins, growth factors, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, G-CSF, interleukins, and interferons.
- 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the protein is a hedgehog protein.
