Claims
- 1. A composition comprising a blend of a thermoplastic resin and at least one compound or oligomer which is ##STR24## wherein R.sub.f is a perfluorinated moiety which may contain one or more catenary ether oxygen atoms, Q is a linking group selected from alkylene groups having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, sulfonamido groups or combinations thereof, R is an alkyl group, R.sup.1 is a perfluoroalkyl group, R.sup.2 is an alkyl group which may be straight chain or branched and n is a number of from 2 to 40.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein said thermoplastic resin is a polyolefin, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polycarbonate, or polyester.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein said thermoplastic resin is polypropylene, poly-4-methyl-1-pentene, blends thereof or copolymers formed from at least one of propylene and 4-methyl-1-pentene.
- 4. The composition of claim 1, wherein the at least one compound or oligomer is selected from the group consisting of ##STR25## and combinations thereof, wherein R.sub.f is a perfluorinated moiety that may contain one or more catenary ether oxygen atoms, Q is a linking group selected from alkylene groups having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, sulfonarnido groups and combinations thereof, R.sup.1 is a perfluoroalkyl group, R.sup.2 is an alkyl group that may be straight chain or branched, and n is a number of from 2 to 40.
- 5. The composition of claim 1, wherein the blend contains the following compound: ##STR26## wherein R.sub.f is a perfluorinated moiety that may contain one or more catenary ether oxygen atoms, and R is an alkyl group.
- 6. The composition of claim 5, wherein R.sub.f contains 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and R has 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 7. The composition of claim 1, wherein R.sub.f contains about 3 to 20 carbon atoms, R has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 has 4 to 10 carbon atoms.
- 8. The composition of claim 7, wherein Q is an alkylene linking group that has one or two carbon atoms.
- 9. The composition of claim 7, R.sub.f contains 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and n is a number of 2 to 20.
