Claims
- 1. A shortstopping composition comprised of at least one hydrophilic shortstopping agent and at least one hydrophobic free radical shortstopping agent.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 dissolved in a solvent medium.
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein the solvent medium is water, alcohol, a common organic solvent, or mixture thereof.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 wherein the ratio of the hydrophilic to hydrophobic shortstopper ranges from 95/5 to 5/95.
- 5. The composition of claim 4, wherein the ratio is between 40/60 to 90/10.
- 6. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic agent is a phenol, nitroxide, and hydroxylamine compound.
- 7. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic agent is dibutylhydroxylamine (DBHA), dibenzylhydroxylamine (DbzHA), 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy (TEMPO) or mixtures thereof.
- 8. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophillic agent is a hydroxylamine compound.
- 9. The composition of claim 8, wherein the hydrophillic agent is diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA), N-isopropylhydroxylamine (NiPHA), dimethylhydroxylamine (DMHA) or mixtures thereof.
- 10. The composition of claim 1 wherein the hydrophillic agent is DEHA and the hydrophobic agent is DBHA.
