Claims
- 1. An azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of HFC-32 (CH2F2) and a hydrofluoroether selected from the group consisting of HFE-143aE (CH3OCF3), HFE-227caEαβ (CF3OCF2CHF2), HFE-227caEβγ (CHF2OCF2CF3), HFE-227eaE (CF3OCFHCF3) and HFE-236faE (CF3OCH2CF3) to form an azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition, and wherein after 50 weight percent of said composition has evaporated, the difference in vapor pressure between the original composition and the remaining composition is less than 10 percent.
- 2. An azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of HFC-32 (CH2F2) and a hydrofluoroether selected from the group consisting of HFE-143aE (CH3OCF3), HFE-227caEαβ (CF3OCF2CHF2), HFE-227caEβγ (CHF2OCF2CF3), HFE-227eaE (CF3OCFHCF3) and HFE-236faE (CF3OCH2CF3), wherein said HFC-32 and HFE-143aE composition has a vapor pressure of from about 225 to about 247.4 psia at 25° C.; said HFC-32 and HFE-227caEαβ composition has a vapor pressure of from about 244.0 to about 253.4 psia at 25° C.; said HFC-32 and HFE-227caEβγ composition has a vapor pressure of from about 255.3 to about 269.7 psia at 25° C.; said HFC-32 and HFE-227eaE composition has a vapor pressure of from about 257.1 to about 272.3 psia at 25° C.; said HFC-32 and HFE-236faE composition has a vapor pressure of from about 237.3 to about 248.6 psia at 25° C.; and wherein after 50 weight percent of said composition has evaporated, the difference in vapor pressure between the original composition and the remaining composition is less than 10 percent.
- 3. An azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of HFC-32 (CH2F2) and a hydrofluoroether, said composition selected from the group consisting of:
from about 46.0 to about 99.0 weight percent HFC-32 (CH2F2) and from about 1.0 to about 54.0 weight percent HFE-143aE (CH3OCF3) having a vapor pressure of from about 225 to about 247.4 psia at 25° C.; from about 39.0 to about 99.0 weight percent weight percent HFC-32 (CH2F2) and from about 1.0 to about 61.0 weight percent HFE-227caEαβ (CF3OCF2CHF2) having a vapor pressure of from about 244.0 to about 253.4 psia at 25° C.; from about 33.0 to about 99.0 weight percent weight percent HFC-32 (CH2F2) and from about 1.0 to about 67.0 weight percent HFE-227caEβγ (CHF2OCF2CF3) having a vapor pressure of from about 255.3 to about 269.7 psia at 25° C.; from about 32.0 to about 99.0 weight percent weight percent HFC-32 (CH2F2) and from about 1.0 to about 68.0 weight percent HFE-227eaE (CF3OCFHCF3) having a vapor pressure of from about 257.1 to about 272.3 psia at 25° C.; from about 45.0 to about 99.0 weight percent weight percent HFC-32 (CH2F2) and from about 1.0 to about 55.0 weight percent HFE-236faE (CF3OCH2CF3) having a vapor pressure of from about 237.3 to about 248.6 psia at 25° C.; and wherein after 50 weight percent of said composition has evaporated, the difference in vapor pressure between the original composition and the remaining composition is less than 10 percent.
- 4. A process of heating comprising the step of condensing a composition of claim 1, 2 or 3 in the vicinity of an object to be heated.
- 5. A process of refrigeration comprising the step of evaporating a composition of claim 1, 2 or 3 in the vicinity of an object to be cooled.
