Claims
- 1. A process for inhibiting corrosion which is characterized by treating a metal with a composition containing ##STR53## where R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 are H or alkyl, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 are H, alkyl, alkanol, or --alkylene N).sub.n H, n, m or p are one or more, or mixtures thereof.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR54## where R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 are H or alkyl, R.sub.5 is H, alkyl, ##STR55## or alkanol, and n is one or more.
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR56## where R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group, R.sub.2 is H or alkyl, R.sub.4 is H, alkyl, alkanol, or ##STR57## and n is one or more.
- 4. The process of claim 1 wherein the composition has the formula ##STR58## where R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group R.sub.2 is H or alkyl, and n, m and p are one or more.
- 5. The process of claim 2 wherein the composition has the formula ##STR59## where R is H or methyl, R.sup.1 is H or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --OH, and n, m and p are one or more.
- 6. The process of claim 4 wherein the composition has the formula ##STR60## where R is H or methyl, and n, m p and q are one or more.
