Claims
- 1. A trigger valve for use in an hydraulic circuit comprising a body having a cavity formed therein and inlet and outlet ports, said body having a valve seat formed in the cavity portion thereof between said inlet and outlet ports, a valve having a valve seat engaging surface formed thereon, a cap in sealing engagement with respect to said cavity, spring means adapted to bias said valve against said valve seat, axially movable actuating means adapted to move said valve away from said valve seat against the bias of said spring means, and piston means adapted to drive said actuating means, the axial length of said piston means being adjustable.
- 2. A trigger valve as described in claim 1 wherein said piston means is coaxial with said actuating means.
- 3. A trigger valve as described in claim 2 wherein said piston means comprises a piston having a blind bore formed therein, said blind bore having threads formed therein adjacent the open end thereof and having a polygonal cross-section adjacent the blind end thereof, a locking member having a first polygonal cross-section sized to mate with said polygonal cross-section of said blind bore in said piston and a second polygonal cross-section smaller than said first polygonal cross-section, biasing means seated in said blind bore and biasing said locking member away from the blind end of said blind bore and an adjusting screw threadedly engaged with said threads in said blind bore, said adjusting screw having a first polygonal bore sized to mate with said second polygonal cross-section of said locking member and a second polygonal bore smaller than said first polygonal bore, said second polygonal bore communicating with said first polygonal bore.
- 4. A trigger valve as described in claim 3 wherein said second polygonal bore in said adjusting screw is hexagonal in shape.
- 5. A trigger valve as described in claim 3 wherein each of said polygonal bores and polygonal cross-sections is hexagonal in shape.
