Claims
- 1. A compressor for use in a refrigerator, which has a rotary shaft supported by a bearing lubricated by a liquid refrigerant, comprising:
- a cylinder and a piston slidably received in the cylinder so as to define a head-side chamber between the piston and an end portion of the cylinder, the head-side chamber being supplied with a high-pressure liquid refrigerant;
- a spring engaging the piston and urging the piston so as to tend to compress the liquid refrigerant in the head-side chamber; and
- the head-side chamber being connected to the bearing whereby high-pressure liquid refrigerant is supplied to the bearing from the head-side chamber.
- 2. The compressor of claim 1, wherein the spring comprises a mechanical spring.
- 3. The compressor of claim 2, wherein the spring comprises a coil spring.
