Claims
- 1. A method for modeling an image comprising the steps of:
scaling and tiling an image to obtain scaled features; interpolating the scaled features to obtain an image model; forming a residual image; and, analyzing the residual image at a different scale.
- 2. A method for reducing the computation necessary in deriving a model of an image, comprising the steps of:
scaling and tiling an image, with the tiles scaled in the same proportion as the scaling of the image; deriving weights associated with a preselected principal component of the image; and, constructing a model of the image from the derived weights.
- 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the size of the tiles is reduced from those associated with the unscaled image, whereby the computational load is reduced in proportion to the reduced tile size due to the scaling of the tiles.
